New Features arrive in Essential Space

Essential Space has been updated with new features added recently. Here’s a quick recap of some of the new features rolling out to your devices.

Crop what’s essential

Cropping has landed in Essential Space!

Circle to crop, or simply drag the corners.

Now, when capturing a screenshot with Essential Key, you can freely crop your image to keep only what matters most to you.

Essential Key Optimisation

You can now configure the key’s trigger behavior!

Go to: System Settings → Intelligence Toolkit → Essential Key Settings.

Introducing Related Captures

Link your related Captures together, swipe seamlessly between them, and keep everything clean, connected, and easy to find.

How to get the updates

If auto-update is on, just connect to Wi-Fi and Essential Space updates automatically via Google Play. If not, update manually in the Google Play Store

Zac Love the changes and the work thats been put here. thank you.
I hope , I just hope , search function within Essential Space is next. My essential is so large now , I have to scroll so much and Im sure that is a real problem for all Essential Space users who use it regularly, start with simple text based search so it can be quick. thanks.

Nice to see some Essential Key optimisation.

Please can you add the option to disable all Essentially Space features/functions requiring an internet connection. Essentially, a ‘privacy mode’ that stops all user data/information being shared online. Privacy-conscious users can then begin using the Essential Key & Space, confident it is only carrying out tasks that do not require online processing – such as speech-to-text note taking (transcribing) – and won’t have to worry about accidental Key presses and their personal/sensitive data being sent off to unknown entities for processing (and whatever else).

Hell I’d love to be able to remap the essential key to open a different app. Even if u do use this I think it would be neat to have the option to remap it

Essential Memory seems to be working ok now, with the Essential Search AI tool. I saved the memory that I would like to use the Black magic camera app for video shooting, and when I asked about what camera app I should use for videos, the Essential Search AI referred to the Memory saved.

Mine still isn’t, I’ve just used the share button on an article and shared to Essential Space and it’s still giving me the error when I go to the capture

I don’t quiet understand the “activate with single tap” I don’t think it’s working for me.

I’ve just updated mine and tried the features and I think they mean single press of the essential key to activate not “tap the screen” and then single/double press the essential key as per original process.

Anonymous1235 Exactly!!! 90 mins of lectures and I have at least 3 a week, not including seminars or labs that would be really useful to record at times as well. If we can pay for it, I would pay in a heartbeat!

An essential feature that I think could be added: when you take a note by pressing the key (oral/written), you could ask for the note to be saved in collection X. That way, you wouldn’t need to go to the essential space once the note has been saved to move it to collection X. For exemple by adding something like “\collectionX” or “put that note in collection X ”.
