After latest Security patch update there was a weird problem where volume lowers while clicking on volume up and down button and if set 50 percent it feels like 100 percent, I tried to fix by factory reset but doesn’t work anyone have solution for this?

As I am IEM user and mostly using wired earphones and wired headphones it is irritating to get this problem

If the same problem is for all users please go through the issue that I have listed!

Hi Nothing team,

After the recent update on my Nothing Phone (3a), I’ve noticed a few issues that were not present before:

• The device is heating more than before during normal usage and gaming.

• Speaker sound quality seems slightly reduced compared to before the update.

• I’m experiencing occasional sudden lag and FPS drops while using apps and playing games.

These issues started only after the latest update. It would be helpful if the team could check whether this is a software optimization issue.

If anyone else in the community is experiencing similar problems, please share your experience as well.

Jaikify Hello there Buddy, I hope you are doing well.
I am experiencing the same and not quite sure of what the issue could be. I have also noticed that the battery drains faster and charge times take longer.

Dimas I have been playing around with the GCAM APK on my NP3a Pro and rather like some of the images it has been producing, I have attached a couple of floral shots of both Nothing cam and GCam APK, let me know your thoughts.

My 3a camera looks so much better it’s kind of unbelievable.

My main curiosity right now is actually moving subjects in low light - that’s where I’ve been noticing the biggest challenges. If you ever happen to capture something like that with both the stock cam and GCam, I’d love to see how they compare

When can we expect 4.1 Nothing OS update on 3a and other devices?
Just for reference as I want someone close to join in Nothing UI/UX after a long time on being android 12 on realme….

I don’t want some dates but an approx time…..like months? Or a year?

Is anyone else noticing system lag since the last update? Random apps are having split second freeze and the whole OS seems laggier. Even the keyboard is slower to type on.

Even after phone reboot or Nothing launcher cache deletion is the same. This is the first time since buying at launch that I notice lag on my 3a pro.

Is it a coincidence that the lag appears with the new update just before the launch of phone 4a series? Very weird.

CaptainClaw Nothing hasn’t shared an official timeline yet for Nothing OS 4.1 on the Nothing Phone (3a) or other devices.

Based on how Nothing usually rolls out updates, minor versions like 4.1 typically arrive a few months after the major release once things are optimized. So it’ll likely take some months, but there’s no confirmed date yet.

I just bought a 3a pro (discounted if course). Haven’t activated the device yet. Do I update to 4.0?

kueyiar "I am doing well, thank you! Regarding the battery, I found that rolling back to Nothing OS 3.2 fixed the drain, but if you want to stay on 4.0,make sure you’re on the March 2026 patch.

To fix it, try disabling ‘App Services’ in your system app settings and set your heavy apps like YouTube and games to Restricted battery usage. For the slow charging, try toggling ‘Sleep standby optimization’ off and on again to reset the thermal sensors and also do factory reset and if you want then turn off ram booster and restart it again. I Hope this helps!

and now iam in 3.2 and thinking should I go to 4.0 again will any one will give further assistance
