Jaikify Hello again. “back at square one”, unfortunately.
The issue went away for some time, yet reappeared a couple of days ago.

Not sure at this point what else to do; the charge takes forever and keeps getting hot on the back.

Any additional recommendations?

I haven’t booted up my new 3a Pro yet. How do I choose Nothing OS 3.2 as this seems the most stable one?

jr6nothing Since your 3a Pro is brand new and under warranty, the service center is your best bet to get Nothing OS 3.2 specifically.

* Under Warranty: They will flash the specific version for you for free.

* Out of Warranty: They usually claim a service charge for this.

If you boot it up yourself, do not connect to Wi-Fi during setup. This prevents the phone from auto-updating to a newer version (like 3.3+) before you can check the current build in Settings.

Since you’ve used the service center before, I’d just head there—it’s the safest way to ensure you stay on 3.2 without any hassle.

Anyone facing notification issue after latest update? Like something the notification is stuck in between in notification panel.

I noticed the notifications may come an hour late, or when the screen is opened. I do not have power saving or sleep and standby optimization enabled.

A few problems I experienced since updating to this version:

First: I can’t mount disk images as root anymore. Checked the logs in dmesg, and there was a SELinux denial for read & write with source context being kernel, target context being system_data_file (what the hell?). After allowing it with ksud utility, it worked.

Second: Started experiencing lags in a game that didn’t exist in the previous update. Inspected the running processes with top utility, a service named poweropt-service was continously using 100% of CPU. Sent SIGTERM to the process and it hasn’t happened again since.

Another issue is the SELinux denial of bpfloader -> bpfloader for capability bpf (again, what the hell?). After allowing it, more logs started to appear in kernel ring buffer which helped me solve the first problem. Please avoid creating issues behind issues, I choose this device solely for its easily unlockable bootloader, don’t make me/us regret this choice.

Firmware bot I notice my phone after the last updates - networks data lagged, need to restart everytime than only all the WhatsApp and other apps notifications in. Otherwise, it’s doesn’t show any text or notifications coming.

Other than that. It smooth, but for some apps, it’s getting slower than before. Other than that all good.

But as I mentioned, the 1st one. I’ve check with other phone using the same line as mine, as this one principal. The other phone no network problem, but this happens after the last update.

After the latest software update, my Nothing Phone (3a) Pro has a bug with long/scrolling screenshots. When I take a long screenshot, the content repeats itself multiple times instead of capturing the full page once. The same section keeps duplicating down the screenshot.

Steps to reproduce:

Open any long webpage or article

Take a scrolling/long screenshot

The result shows repeated duplicate sections instead of the full content

This started after the most recent update. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a fix or workarou

Hi Nothing Team,

I’m facing multiple issues on my Nothing Phone (3a) after installing the latest security patch update.

- The device heats up even during normal usage (browsing, social media).

- While gaming, the temperature rises significantly more than before.

-Experiencing significant frame drops and unstable performance during gaming.

- Battery is draining much faster than usual.

- Charging speed has noticeably slowed down compared to earlier.

These issues were not present before the update, and it’s affecting overall performance and usability.

Requesting the team to look into this and provide a fix or guidance. Please let me know if any logs or additional details are required.

Has anyone tried rolling back to older versions like 3.0–3.2? Are there still issues with overheating or battery drain there?

Personally, it feels like things just get worse with every update. Starting to feel like these overheating and battery drain problems aren’t really being fixed…

_Kl_U5N3EXlbgp I haven’t updated it with the latest ones and my phone is working fine. I’m using OS 3.2 250717 1803 by the way. It seems that this company is not good for SW and remains silent about what’s wrong. The risk is the security updates, but considering how bad these OS updates are performing, I would prefer take that risk. It would great just they release security patches only for OS 3.2.

Alep I have had no problems with Nothing OS 4.0 and have had better battery life since the initial phase of the update running increased background processes (a few days only). I recommend updating.
