Hey Community,
Today we want to highlight the incredible new camera systems across the Phone (4a) series.
Whether you’re picking up the Phone (4a) or going all in on the Phone (4a) Pro, one thing is true for both: we’ve built two of the most capable cameras in their class. Here’s what each one brings to the table.

Phone (4a) — Made for the Creatives
The Phone (4a) is packing a camera system that punches well above its weight.
Periscope lens on Phone (4a)
At its core is a 50MP OIS main sensor paired with a 50MP 3.5x OIS periscope lens — a combination that gives you serious versatility whether you’re up close or zoomed all the way in to 70x. Phone (4a)’s periscope camera features an advanced tetraprism system that delivers 3.5x optical zoom with zero light loss, using a three-mirror, W-shaped light path to preserve image detail while reducing the camera bump by 32% when compared to Phone (3a) Pro.
Ultra Wide on Phone (4a)
Add in a Sony ultra-wide for those expansive landscape shots and a 32MP wide-angle selfie camera, and you’ve got a full kit that handles any scenario you throw at it.

Phone (4a) Pro — Built Different
The Phone (4a) Pro is our first all-metal Nothing phone and a debut like that deserves a camera to match.
32MP selfie camera on Phone (4a) Pro
It shares the same Sony ultra-wide and 32MP selfie camera as the Phone (4a) with a new 89° wide-angle lens that offers 10% wider coverage than Phone (3a) Pro. But we’ve pushed the Pro further when it comes to… well… going further. The main sensor steps up to a Sony LYT-700C — a large-format OIS shooter that pulls in more light and more detail, particularly in challenging conditions and up to 1 second faster shutter speed.

Then there’s the big event: a 50MP 3.5x OIS telephoto periscope lens capable of up to 140x zoom. That’s the longest zoom we’ve ever put on a Nothing phone, and an industry-leading capability in its class. Phone (4a) Pro’s periscope camera features an advanced tetraprism system that delivers 3.5x optical zoom with zero light loss, using a three-mirror, W-shaped light path to preserve image detail while reducing the camera bump by 32% when compared to Phone (3a) Pro.

What does 140x look like in practice? Distant stages at a festival. Details on a building across the city. Subjects so far away your friends won’t believe you got the shot. Paired with TrueLens Engine 4, the Pro also shoots Ultra XDR photos and 4K Ultra XDR video, applying HDR effects comparable to Dolby Vision for colours and highlights that pop right out of the frame.
What really sets these cameras apart is what’s happening under the hood. Our TrueLens Engine 4 brings flagship-level computational photography to the Phone (4a) Series, including Ultra XDR photos co-developed with Google — meaning richer highlights, deeper shadows, and contrast that actually looks natural. That same XDR quality now extends to motion photos too.

The creative tools and customisation also receive an upgrade. Expert-designed presets, finely adjustable professional settings, AI Eraser, and seven new Nothing watermarks give you a shooting experience that feels genuinely built for you.
