  • I was just thinking, wouldn’t it be incredible if *Nothing’s* OS was made available to everyone? Kind of like how Pixel ROMs work, where anyone could install it on their device, regardless of the brand. Of course, they wouldn’t get to experience all the features, but it would still offer a fresh and unique experience. And it’d be great if some exclusive features were kept for *Nothing* phones, maintaining that special edge for their users

The CMF Phone by Nothing, with its removable back, offers a great opportunity for a self-repair program. While some parts are available through third-party sites like iFixit, it would be fantastic if official spare parts, such as batteries and screens, were made available directly on the Nothing website. This would not only ensure users have access to genuine, high-quality parts, but also eliminate concerns about authenticity. Along with DIY repair kits, tools, and easy-to-follow tutorials, users could feel confident in maintaining their devices, extending their lifespan, and ultimately saving money.

A self-repair program fits perfectly with Nothing’s ethos of simplicity and sustainability. It would allow users to take charge of their devices, reduce e-waste, and feel empowered by making repairs themselves. By offering official parts on their website, Nothing could show its commitment to the environment, build stronger relationships with its community, and continue to set the bar for user-friendly, eco-conscious innovation in tech.
