I’ve tweeted this and Nothing Support asked me to message them privately but they still haven’t gotten back after three days. My Phone 2(a) is mostly on standby for like 70% of the day, on WiFi most of the day, no games, minor video streaming, yet this is the SOT I get. Barely half the SOT of my previous NP2

Here’s my latest SOT test. I’ve put a lot of my apps on Restricted and turned off AOD. My brightness is also on 60-70% max. Some people are suggesting switching to 60hz display, turning off all background refresh, and some even suggesting turning off internet access to most of my apps. I feel like these might bring some change to my battery stats but if I need to take away around 60% of my phone’s basic functions and features to at least get a proper battery backup, what’s the point?

May be an image of text that says '7:33 39% APP BATTERY PBATTERYUSAGE USAGE Instagram Screen time: 20 mins Background 10 hrs mins (since last full charge) Open Uninstall Force stop Unrestricted Allow battery usage in background without restrictions. May use more battery. Optimised Optimise based on your usage. Recommended for most apps. Restricted Restrict battery usage while in background. may not work as expected. Notifications may be delayed. Changing how an app uses your battery can affect its performance.'

Well…I’m getting good screen on time on my 2a with still 48% of battery left

inparadoxwetrust Exactly. SOT doesn’t mean going overboard with locking down all the phone features. Resident fanbois on these community pages behave rudely when when phone owners complain about battery efficiency. It is what it is and this phone is very mid when it comes to battery life. Some update ruined it for me. I’d have opted for the Edge 50 Pro for its camera had it been launched a bit earlier. Oh well.

Is Nothing still ignoring this problem after two months? If nothing is fixed after new update I’ll have to return the phone.

I bought a new nothing 2a phone but it’s battery is draining so fast can any one tell solution for this!

HariRaj_4C0X1Qbn3J There’s no solution as of now since it is a software optimization related issue and it cannot be fixed by changing phone settings. We’ll have to wait for the next update hoping it addresses this problem.

After update I am facing battery drain issue SOT 4 hrs and very slow charging

battery is Draining too fast after 2.5.4 update. Battery doesn’t last long. It’s giving just 5 to 6 hours only, we need to charge twice a day.. All Settings and modifications we have tried on mobile but there is no use of them. Nothing should clear this issue aa early as possible in the next update…

        5 days later

A couple of days ago, my Screen On Time (SOT) suddenly dropped from 6-7 hours to less than 3 hours without any apparent reason. There wasn’t an update or any other indication of a software problem. In the battery usage stats, I don’t see any particular app causing the drain; every app uses a fair amount of battery. For example I am almoste at 50% and SOT is just something more then 1 hour.

I tried using a 45W charger for two days and noticed that the battery drain became much faster after that, so I switched back to my old Pixel charger, but the battery drain still persists. It might just be a coincidence that the issue started when I switched chargers. Has anyone else experienced the same issues?

I purchased nothing 2a two months back …phone battery is draining very fast Since last month after the update of nothing OS 2.5.5.a…I have been using phone on battery power saving mode from past 1 month..I have been using nothing 45w charger and orginal cable. Should I get my battery replaced? Please help.

After updating my nothing phone 2a to 2.5.5.a, battery draining issue has increased drastically. Even the charging speed on the phone is unstable sometimes, i think this is because the overheating of the phone..my average phone temperature is round 37-41°c….. there are my things to fix in upcoming updates.
