Hey there,
It’s me again with another redesign. This time around I picked the Nothing’s own Weather app, which already has the Nothing-esque design language. However, even though it looks like an app Nothing would design, it still isn’t as good as a Weather app.
The problems:
These are some of the things that I felt are missing/wrong with the current app.
- You need to look hard to find the basic info. Basically, text is unreadable at a glance.
- Whole app feels more like a wrapper. None of the info block/widget gets you anywhere. (Except, the AQI one to a webpage from AccuWeather)
- Have 2 widgets for AQI.
- No way to search a different location. You’ll have to add it first, then view weather info.
- Just one weather provider.
- No quick switch between weather info of saved locations.
The Redesign:
Here I present you what I feel would make more sense as a weather app on Nothing OS, without deviating much from the original design language.
1. Homescreen:
2. Fullscreen/Secondary Screen:
3. Search Page
End note:
Currently, I have focused only on the layout of home screen and secondary screen, while the search screen is more like a WIP concept. I am hoping, I’d complete the redesign, If I get more time to work on this.
Until then, what do you think about this redesign? I’d love to hear your thoughts or get some feedback to improve it.

PS: I do appreciate Nothing’s current weather app, and I get that they’re going for the minimal look. But I feel a weather app is more about providing information clearly.
