On the second day of use my right earbud has a constant white noise sound which is really loud. It dissapers for some time in adaptive anc setting and if anc is off. It’s so loud it actually blocks the sound. What I already tried:

  • reset the device
  • reboot
  • reinstall nothing app
  • turn on/off in ear recognition
  • combination of all above
Rob ⚡️ changed the title to Nothing Ear - White noise in right earbud .

DmitriLabetsky Hey, it seems you’ve narrowed the issue down to the ANC. Appreciate you sharing your troubleshooting steps - can we assume you have also checked for any firmware updates?

Yes, after trying every possible solution I ended up returning them to the store and got a refund. It’s a shame cause they seemed as a closest thing to airpods pro for android. Sony wf-1000xm4 have a much worse mic and are laggy. Will be waiting for something new for now.

Rob ⚡️ I have this exact same issue, is it a software issue? If so please look into it.

      Following.

Same issue since yesterday on my Ear 2. (11 aug 2024)
      - SW/FW up to date
      - Did factory reset
      - performed all personalisation steps
      - cleaned unit

Loud white noise with ANC still there. Bit less in adaptive mode. Using only with ANC off now.

        Hello everyone,

I have the same issue, but only under sunlight. When I’m running, the right earbud produces a loud white noise, but only when it gets directly exposed to sunlight (even with low light intensity) and ANC on. After some experiments, I believe it is a hardware issue (easy tests like cover the right earbud with my hand). I contacted support, but it proved to be inefficient. No solutions so far.

I have the same issue with the nothing ear 2024 it is happening more often and the white noise is full volume in the left earbud really dangerous for the hearing… does nothing (the company) actually monitor this forum? Doesn’t look like anyone got a response from them or a solution guess I will just have to return them? Only had them a week

Outrageousenergy Hey, to ensure that your feedback goes directly to the relevant team at Nothing please log it via the Nothing X application:

I have the same issue with my brand new cmf buds pro 2 . When anc is off and no audio is playing it has a slight white noice.

the service centre denied me a replacement for it even tho it was under the 7 day replacement clause.

I just bought it from Amazon yesterday should return although the sound is not there when battery is above 80%85

Daniel thank you, feels like a convoluted way bit appreciate the advice… isn’t it really odd that no one from nothing has responded .. I’ve already done the troubleshooting but it’s not really good if it’s been happening across buds for years .. might wait a couple of days for a response and do a return through the retailer

hurricanexd nightmare … I don’t mind troubleshooting etc but putting the left one in the ear to try and see if it’s not going to hurt your ears feels self torturous!

No response at all from Nothing through the support channels or on the forum.. why do they not interact with customers even a holding email over a week would do 🤷‍♂️ guess I’m going to have to return them and go back on the horribly long journey of choosing different earbuds..

Outrageousenergy this is like the 4rd different pair of earbuds that I bought this year, i thought i found the perfect compromise but suddenly i started hearing this weird noise, as if they didnt tuned properly the battery ampere with the driver resistance of the bud. Its been almost 2 years since the first comment reported this and nothing did nothing about it. This is bad

It is happening to me too, as it seems there is no solution to this, should I just return it? is a software problem or a hardware one?

Is there actually anyone in nothing that can look at this on this forum and answer the question.. feels like you are getting a lot of returns if it’s a simple fix.. I’m going to return mine on Friday if we don’t receive a response. I have logged this using my account in the nothing X app support area twice.. both ignored
