Nothing OS - Screenshot Gesture

It's never good when you run into more annoyances on your new phone the more you use it. Today it was screenshot. Too used to 3-finger-screenshot on OP I naturally tried that. Nope. Can't fathom why that would've been dropped out. Tried power+volume button method. Nope. Tried the regents screen method. Nope. Won't try the effing assistant method. Now what gives?! Why deliberately remove a very useful feature?

#i would like to make a suggestion in screenshot gesture it is better make easy while trying to use three fingers to make a screenshot shot rather than using Power button and volume button or to use accessibility menu.. can nothing teams please make an update for this. It is more easy way to make a screenshot using fingers or to swipe the screen to make a screenshot. 🙃

de_paradox Currently, there is no way to change how screenshots are captured. I would suggest if you have alternative ways you’d be keen to see this happen, check out our OS Feedback Form or from your device head to Settings > System > Feedback

The way to do screen shots on Nothing Phone is the same as on Pixel phones, cause that’s the way Google does it.

MikaAleksandroff it will be great if they can provide a touch based gesture to take a screenshot …. Something like swipe down on screen with 3 fingers or 2 fingers

Can I change the combination for take the screenshot? Or can I disable it? I mean… i make always mistake locking the phone…

Taking a screenshot is the same on my Nothing Phone 2 as it’s been on every other phone I’ve had going back many many years.

And would be great, to disable this screenshot button combination. 3 finger screenshot, is much better and avoids unnecessary ones.

Nothing Phone 2a can take a screenshot using Power button + Volume down button. Also have a feature to crop/select Screen size as needed while taking a screenshot.

Hi there!

Bill here. Just got a 3a. Loving it so far! The only nigle is the screenshot process is indeed kinda cumbersome. Coming from a Huawei where they have gestures, power button method, as well as a widget, it is way easier than the three finger thing which btw is not working for me. Maybe this is something nthng should consider? A screenshot widget would make life easier. Just my two cents.
