This is 10 min in photoshop, but a back clear cover incorporating a Questyle M15 dac. Could be created flat, or buldge where the dac is.

Or a complete product of a back cover with just a dac board and aux out on the bottom. Might only double the thickness. A complete high-quality multi-media device for sub $300?

How about a beefed up rugged case?

What’s the thread pitch on the small screws ? Or is it fine for coarse. May have over looked on the blueprint .

ThomasBurchett This is quite a good idea, I have a DAC from creative that is small and can make it in a case, now that you brought this idea.

But for now, I’m still looking for small and thin type C cables similar to this

I will then have to work on a way to split the wires for an e-paper display.

Rob It would be awesome to have a 33W fast charging wireless charging module to mount on it.

How about a case with extra battery attachment. Can be charged by connecting a built-in cable to the port.

If I were to print my own case, does the file include the buttons? Noticed how each official shell has buttons

No it doesn’t include the buttons, same with the SIM tray, these are both metal parts. Might be a nice idea for someone to develop a case with integrated buttons to get around this. I probably would also advise against putting your own made parts in the SIM tray, might be best to stick with the official one.

So with 3d printing the case curious how users implement buttons

Designed and printed a prototype of Ear (2) case as a fanart from Japan. Still have to consider Ear (2) fixing method, feel promising act as a smartphone grip by Ear itself so far.
