Hey,

Lately, I’ve often studied with my pair of Ear (1)'s. I put on “study music” playlists that consist of calm and relaxing songs. To not get disturbed I’m used to lowering the volume to the absolute lowest on my headphones (w/ my iPhone 11 Pro Max), but with my Ear (1) the lowest possible volume I can achieve is still pretty loud when everything is dead quiet w/ noise cancellation. I need to keep my focus on studies and not the music and as of right now the lowest possible volume is at least 50-100% louder than what I’m used to be able to pull off with my other headphones.

A great wish from me (and possibly other users with similar needs) is to lower the threshold for the lowest possible volume on the headphones so that I can focus on my studies without being disturbed by “loud” songs.

I’ve also seen some other posts regarding being able to pair my Ear (1)'s with multiple Bluetooth devices which is something I’m missing as well when studying, switching between the devices from where I need the sound at that specific moment.

Overall really satisfied with my pair of Ear (1)'s - I’ll keep you posted with more of my needs as they arise.

Thanks for keeping us in the loop FilipJacobson

We really need feedback like this to drive our planned improvements further. A firmware update is being worked on, and it’ll come with a hot new feature, I assure you.

About the features you’ve requested, they’ll be forwarded to our teams for discussion. However, about the volume, have you considered making adjustments within the player/app the songs stream from? Streaming services often provide a volume normalisation feature to keep everything level and that could help your experience as well.

      Thanks for the response Rudi.

Didn’t actually know about that there were playback normalization features built into the apps, great thing for sure. Now toggled over to “Quiet” playback volume level in my Spotify app. Will check how that now corresponds to using other headphones with this mode (if it becomes too quiet with them instead).

Great that you are now working within the community funneling all the requests and feedback we in the community might have. You seem very enthusiastic and the perfect match for Nothing!

That’s very nice of you, FilipJacobson, thanks for the incentive 🙇

Please do let me know how it goes, I’m curious to see the performance on that mode.

In the meantime, don’t be a stranger 😉

@Rudi Wanted to follow up on this one!

I followed your suggestion to lower the volume level inside Spotify. I still do believe the lowest volume is a little loud in case I want to have the music just playing very softly in the background as I study. As I mentioned, maybe my use case is a little niche, but I guess increasing the lowest volume threshold doesn’t really impact the average user that plays on “regular” noise levels (which could be good if you decide to implement the “fix”).

Happy to hear your and the team’s thoughts about the lowest volume. Is anyone in the team impacted by this “problem” yet?
