Kürzlich habe ich die neueste Firmware für mein Ohr aktualisiert (a). Danach ist der linke Ohrhörer bis zu 90 % aufgeladen. Wenn ich den linken Ohrhörer allein in die Hülle stecke, wird er zu 100 % aufgeladen. Ein weiteres Problem besteht darin, dass der linke Ohrhörer sehr schnell leer wird als der rechte Ohrhörer. Gibt es eine Möglichkeit, dies zu beheben?

Another victim of the battery drain on my ear(a). I’m so disappointed that this issue doesn’t seem to be addressed or attended to by Nothing and I’m not hopeful that this will be eventually resolved. Was thinking of upgrading to the newer ear 2024 but the same issues are surfacing up on those too.

Such a waste of a great product and brand. Unfortunately for Nothing, the silence on this issue is deafening.

I did a test yesterday. Since i cant RMA mine cause i bought from aliexpress.
I disassembled the left problematic earbuds and desoldered the battery. while the battery does report the correct voltage, it seems its faulty and loses charge fast. i bypassed the battery by soldering a dc power supply of 4.1v to simulate the battery. then i started playing audio non-stop. the left earbud now always kept reporting 80% while the right one was discahrging as expected. it’s safe to assume the batteries are the culprit.

Can’t really say if the update did something to damage the battery or not. i desoldered my power supply from the earbud and ordered some generic 3.7v battery off aliexpress. i will solder it in and test again when it arrives.

Needless to say, NOTHING is using low quality batteries inside their buds to cut cost and then ignore user complaints.

EDIT: I salvaged a battery from an old baseus bowie m2s and soldered it on my nothing ear a. everything seems to be working fine now.

NothingHater123 Hey what generic 3.7v battery you used to replace it? is it still the same capacity, li-po or li-ion and whether all other control still works fine?

I will send the ear 2 to you please replace my left ear buds battery too . I am facing the same issue. I will give you the charge for replacement of the battery . Please help me with this issue

somdip its easier to find a local repair shop near you to do the replacement. I’m in Mauritius and i also got lucky and found a replacement battery off another donor earbud. look at this video how its done: Nothing Ear (a) – Full Disassembly & Battery and speaker - YouTube

In January I had two hours of autonomy and now in June I have half an hour of autonomy, left 90 % and right 1 %. For me Nothing it’s over, lamentable after-sales service.

Yep facing the same issue with ear(a). Right ear bud draining way too fast. It’s why they say tobuy from reliable brands.

Same for me battery drains in less than an hour for both side. Its a shame no updates for month.

Maybe it has nothing to do with the firmware, just battery bad quality.

Quite possible! Between January 2025 and now I saw the autonomy of the right earpiece deteriorate, I currently have ¼ hour of autonomy on the right earpiece. I don’t think the firmware is involved but rather a poor quality accumulator problem. My seller agreed to apply the warranty and my headphones went on repair, duration of the intervention: two months!

So I contacted the seller by describing the problem (½ hour autonomy of the right earner) The seller agrees to apply the warranty, the unavailability will be 1 month….

Hello,

I’m using the Nothing Ear (a) and I’ve been facing an issue with the battery on the right earbud.

When I turn on noise cancellation, the right earbud drains from full to 0% in just about 1 hour, while the left one lasts significantly longer. This happens consistently, and I’ve tried resetting and re-pairing the earbuds, but it didn’t help.

Both earbuds are updated to the latest firmware, and this issue persists regardless of the device I connect to.

Is anyone else facing a similar problem? Any tips or solutions would be appreciated!

Since the first month, the left side was 5% less, something that has increased over time and now seems to be wrong since the product came out of manufacture.

I have seen similar threads where people talk about this, but the brand does not say anything about it, someone has a solution or answer ?

After using around one year My nothing ear buds left one battery is draining quickly.After full charge battery drains in 15 mints. My ear buds is not under warranty now.What should i do to fix this problem.Can anyone please help me.

EdineAmmar its actually a 3.85v li po battery. do not use 3.7v ones. LIR1140 3.85v battery would be ideal but a lower capacity one 1040 35mah i think is more available. its good enough to bring the dead earbud back to life.

yeah everything works fine once the battery is replaced. i used a lower capacity one so it doesnt really last as long as it did originally … maybe 1h less on ANC on and max volume.
