The phones have been getting bigger and bigger nowadays, personally I absolutely love small compact phones

I loved the asus zenfone and its size sadly its not available where I live

The galaxy S23 was the perfect size phone I feel

A small nothing phone 2a or a nothing phone mini with different colors having a different glyph light structure would be brilliant

Can we also have RGB glyph lights Iam sure you saw MKBHD’s video he had this suggestion it would make a lot of sense if a particular app will show its own color it would be so convenient

Also some improvements in the post processing of the photos and better night photography camera would be great

Also an alert slider like one plus and apple would be great too

A green , yellow,blue nothing phone would be great

I have nothing phone 1 and it’s very user friendly and gives me amazing experience while using it. I always loved the size of iPhone se 3 very compact and handy because of its design and slim body. I believe the next nothing phone should be in two variants one should be of iPhone se 3 size and other should be regular one. The camera module should also be on the left side of the phone just like other phone but if possible then the size of the phone should be small as compared to other phones. I hate when company just focus on camera quality instead of focusing on camera size as well as camera quality because of this aesthetic looks of phone becomes dull and howdy, because of that reason I bought nothing 1 last year, I had an option of buying oneplus 11r. Regarding glyph light sometimes it feels cheap and sometimes it feels unique. I am kind of lean towards professional phones which has simple, classy, elegant looks just like iPhone 8 or any two module iPhone camera. The company should even focus on software updates for 5 years or if they have funds then they should make their operating system rather than using Android. Every company in the market is using Android. They should make os like iOS or blackberry ecosystem. Software updates should be for atleast 5 years.

The only big caveat for small phones were the: battery (iPhone Mini) and with the Zenfone: bad execution of the product (Asymmetrical display, low Software support). Nothing could make a really good small phone around 5.7-5.8 inch (Even 6 inch is decently compact with small bezels) with a slightly thicker body and a 4500mah battery with LTPO display. The only challenge would be cooling then and that can be solved with an underclocked CPU or a good cooling system.

Another big feature would be 4-5 years software support. Longer than that is no point with battery degradation and shorter is out competed by Samsung and Google (Albeit with more expensive products)

People from all sizes use a phone and a compact phone would be good for those with smaller hands

I suppose Nothing shall fill the loop hole, what nobody is doing is production of mini phones. A 5 to 5.4 inch mini series of phones would be great to fill the gap of those users who like mini phones as phones not as big heavy slabs in their pocket. Also it would be great opportunity for mini phone users to experience the nothing phones. Reverse the trend from big to mini.

So im bored so i decided to make a Nothing Phone COMPACT version for those who has tiny fingers like me,

Idk how to make concepts but ill give the specs

Chip: Snapdragon 888

Ram: 8GB/128GB OR 12GB/256GB LPDDR5 (UFS 3.1)

Battery: 5000MaH (Wireless Charging)

Plastic Back/ Body

Camera’s are Dual 50+50 MP and front are 32MP same as the phone 2a

Screen: 5.8Inch Amoled Display 120Hz

And the price for the base model will be $400 and 430$ for the Top model

And the design will be similar like the phone 2a but with the cameras position will be the same as the phone 1 and 2

Nothing, i would definately buy this if you guys make this 🙂

I would very much be excited for a “ Nothing Phone 3 mini ”, if it’s to happen , i would like it to be the perfect phone such as the nothing phone 3 except for battery and screen size offcourse .

What i would want is a 5.4-5.8 inch display and all the leading specs .

It’s time for us to go back to the days when phone’s were used as phones and not ‘phablets’ which they’ve become nowadays

Been looking for a small phone for the past year so registered just to chime in to promote this idea. Have registered my interest in other places too (such as smallandroidphone.com) but efforts seem to be moving slowly. My current wish list:

Quality premium build
Around 5.4” screen
Cameras must be as good as Pixel 5
Stock Android OS. Nothing OS is acceptable
Flagship processor equivalent
5G world phone
Hole punch front camera
2 rear cameras (regular and wide angle)
Minimum 8gb RAM
256gb storage
4 hours Screen On Time (SOT)

The iPhone Mini ticks all the boxes, except for OS. You can do this!

I really like the idea of having the community having a large role in the planning of a phone. And I think this could be used more in the future, and to an extent be used in all upcoming nothing phones.

When I saw this project I immediatley started thinking of ideas that I would want of a phone. One of my biggest priorities is the size and form factor. And indeed alot of other people thought the same, and it’s an bummer that the project can’t be modified in a physical way.

In the new video from mkbhd he goes over that the small phones are officially dead. Which sucks, I just want an device which is compact and has at least okey battery life. I think that many people like me also would want an compact phone and rather care about price than to have the top of the line preformance, which a just midrange cpu would be good enough for day to day use.

The Thing I want to come up to is that if any phone company could revive the “small phones” again it’s definitely Nothing.

Iv’e been using the iphone 12 mini for a while now and to be honest I miss Android so much. Can’t tell how many times I have been cuzzing beacause of the Iphone operative system, mostly so dumb. I think that many Iphone users gladly would want to switch to and nothing phone. Anything Nothing could profit from this? with ther intention and incredible design (I love it), aswell as their competative prices I think it could be a real win-win situation for both Nothing and allt the globes customers.

Thoughts? Could this work? Or am I just a dumb teenager who dosn’t know anything about production and marketing?

the biggest problem with 2a in my opinion is the narrow target audience. you just need to release a compact phone with a diagonal of 6 inches. at least in the new Pixel 9 line there will be 3 models, the chipest one will have 6 inch display. I am convinced that people should have a choice. just because 60% love 6.7″ phones doesn’t mean you should forget about the other 40%.

I still use an iPhone SE but not because it’s the best choice. There are simply no mid-budget compact android alternatives on the market
