Issues with responsiveness [Phone 2]

I have found that my nothing phone 2 touch sometimes won’t click or responds while typing and scrolling

When I sent you your video, they noticed the annoyance and asked for it back for review. If everyone who has the problem makes their complaint to np support, they will have to take it even more seriously, but most people do not complain to np support even though there is a problem on the phone, so they do not take it seriously.

I’m not yet in the country where I bought the device, so I haven’t sent it yet.

Even I have the same issue on my new nothing phone2. Touch is not responsive sometimes at some points randomly. I am seeing this issue from the Day 1. So, this is not the issue with tampered glass. I see this issue before and after applying the tampered glass. I thought only am seeing this issue. Glad that someone raised this issue already.

I hope this shouldn’t be a hardware issue and I wish Nothing should roll out some software update should fix this.

Np2s all have the same problem, only people are not aware of it. If this is a hardware problem, which seems to be, all users will feel this error even worse over time.

Unfortunately, I think that over time, the screen will also press itself.

This is a major problem…You guys have to fix this. Why does a 500 dollars have major flaws like this…The screen gets unresponsive at times more on the sides of the phone than the centre

My NP2 has had touch issues from day one, but it seems to be getting worse. Lately, if the phone is laying flat I can not wake it by tapping. If the phone is awake and laying flat it has no touch response at all at times and then only if pressed hard repeatedly. I have to pick it up to use it but even then some presses do not register.

Their customer support is useless too as all they respond with is the usual cop out of “ensure firmware and security patches are up to date and/or restart the phone” and then stop responding. I regret buying this phone. In retrospect it was a bad gamble investing in a new company.

hey im facing same issue , sometimes i have to press the screen more time to me it work and sometimes i have to press it harder , is thie software or hardware issure pls tell, and will nothing provide a pick and drop service for replacement as its showing contact official noting store for product related issues in flipcart

Derren is there any update regarding this issue or not. Because frankly I’m tired of waiting it’s been 3 months since you guys are aware of this issue. I bought this phone in a country where you don’t officially operate so I’m stuck with this phone as I can’t even return it.

I demand an official update on the matter. I didn’t spend almost 500$+ on a futuristic phone for it to have touch issues right out of the box.

HamzaAbbas Apologies that you’re facing issues. Unfortunately i dont have an update for you at the moment. However i can confirm that the team are aware of the issue and are likely working to resolve or improve it.

Sphinx Yes, let’s wait for a14, if it is not fixed, it will go to the obligatory service.

omer.e A14 isn’t going to fix the screen unevennesses, it may help touch but I’m kinda thinking not.

However the fact we can’t fit glass protectors due to this rippling is a major issue & tbh Nothing needs to create a path for owners with this issue for it to be resolved either with a new handset or repair so the screen is completely flat.

NHN See I installed a Nillkin 2.5D glass protector and it sits perfectly fine. Not raised from anywhere yet still I’m facing this issue.

omer.e Nothing has been shown via videos, photos, calls to service & to a store, twitter, in here, support, feedback, they have been told in every way, but so far they’re not responding to the issues now numerous others are having.

The screens are bad, end of.

HamzaAbbas so you have a glass protector with zero ripples down the sides?

Did you check the screen in good light at angles as per my videos to check for unevenness before fitting the glass?

If your screen is flat no ripples then there are 2 issues, 1st the screens in some aren’t fitted well or are faulty manufacturing as rippled & 2nd there is a touch issue also which would make sense for your situation.
