Dear Nothing team, it is now more than a year you guys launched phone 2, but still you are not able to fix its camera issue, from 10 months continuously I am giving feedback on twitter, community and also via feedback app but still no one cares about it.
Like others smartphone brands nothing is also more focused to launching new phones now.
What about the people who bought phone 2 in 45 k, was it a good deal, absolutely not, even 25k phones have better camera than phone 2.
Never
Hi, I have recently fully switched from my old iPhone 15 pro to the Nothing phone 2 and I fully understand that it’s a new company and that’s why I switched phones but when I am recording videos the camera jitters. I think it has something to do with the OIS but I’m unsure. Is anyone else having this problem?
Phone 2 camera is not better than phone 1
I know there are a few posts regarding the camera. However, I thought posting might help reiterate the issues and hopefully get something fixed. I think it’s software related but am unsure.
I just bought a Nothing Phone (2). There is a SIGNIFCANT issue with camera focusing. For example I am trying to scan a QR code with an authentication app (Okta for example) and whatever built-in camera feature it is using fails constantly, just shows a blurry QR code that wont scan… I jump back to the main camera app and auto focus it then return and it works that one time after switching back.
Also anytime I am trying to get a close up shot it seems to be inconsistent with what it focuses on and it takes a ton of playing with to get the focused area to actually focus.
I hope this can be fixed in software and isn’t a problem with lens itself.
Appreciate any feedback or thoughts.
Thanks.
EscapeSequence Additional notes: I am up to date with Nothing OS 2.6 at the time of this post.
I would appreciate feedback ASAP to know if it’s a hardware issue with my unit so I can return before the 30 day time window too. I just need a reliable camera… please!!
The Nothing Phone camera has its strengths, but there are some areas where it could improve:
1. Low-Light Struggles: In dim settings, photos can turn out grainy or lacking detail, which can be disappointing if you like night photography.
2. No Telephoto Lens: Since it doesn’t have a telephoto lens, zooming in means relying on digital zoom, which can reduce clarity and detail.
3. Software Limitations: Sometimes, the colors and dynamic range just don’t pop like on other phones. Photos can look a bit muted or less vibrant than expected.
4. Shaky Video: Video stabilization isn’t as smooth as it could be, so recording while moving may result in shakier footage.
5. Basic Manual Controls: For those who enjoy tinkering with camera settings, the manual options are pretty limited, which could feel restrictive.
Overall, it is a solid camera for everyday snapshots, but if you’re after high-end photography, especially in low light or with zoom, it might leave you wanting a bit more.
Hey
Thank you for the feedback.
Just to clarify, which device/s are you referring to specifically? Its not clear from your post.
I have used almost all the nothing phones, and i feel the issue in all the device including the phone (2)in the premium segment. Feel free more questions
Nothing phone is having the worst night photo quality, and same other phone give better quality then NP. I have a samsung phone of 15K which gives better quality photo in night then My NP2 . Need to work on night photography. I won’t able to click night photos on Diwali because of worst picture quality.
Yes this poor ideology by nothing
Camera not up the mark
