Fr4nKB There are quite a few open issues on GitHub. The community already wants to help to improve the GDK. However, to almost all of them there never was any kind of response from Nothings side. They usually involve the community in many ways which is really nice. Though the development side still lacks this involvement. Let’s hope that they will change this in the future.
Glyphify v2 available on Play Store
JayKay135 those commits are mostly suggestions or bug reports, what I would like is for them to make the APIs open source. You can decompile the .jar so you get access to pretty much all the APIs anyway…
About the community involvement: that’s true, but maybe since they made the community widget with @RapidZapper things are about to change
Fr4nKB You are right. Nevertheless, one of the issues also suggest to open source the sdk.
However, regarding the community widget I don’t think that this is going in to the direction we would want. As far as I know: The idea for the snake game was made by @RajeevJhaj , but the actual implementation was done by the Nothing team. So the collaborational aspect was not ‘coding together’, but rather ‘sharing ideas’ as it has already happened in the past.

JayKay135 I don’t think RapidZapper is part of the team (yet), right? Anyway, let’s hope this changes since I see so many designers but few devs and Nothing seems to be more interested in the former
Hardik that’s great to hear. Unfortunately there are still people giving me 1-2 star reviews, I wonder if they are actually doing what I tell them to do

Hi @Fr4nKB ,
Do you want to collaborate? I have one more feature that could fit well on your app - https://nothing.community/d/11027-nothing-gyro-an-app-that-uses-glyph-to-indicate-phone-tilt
I also have a few other ideas - glyph version of spin the bottle (for truth or dare), and a minimalist navigation app (synced to google maps)
Regards,
Gowd
I can also confirm that it is now working after a reboot with debug mode off.
Hardik Thanks for the report, will be fixed today in a few hours.
GowdhamRavichandran I’ve seen your app, it baffles me you haven’t got the API key yet but got a shout out in a Nothing video. Good job anyway.
I would be glad to collaborate but I really don’t have much time left (actively developing Glyphify and about to start my university thesis), maybe we can discuss about this in private and see if we can find an agreement
Fr4nKB
Sounds great. I couldn’t find any way to DM you here, so you can email me @ gowdham.ravi@gmail.com.
I’m a (beginner) flutter dev btw.
And, I did get the API key, but it doesn’t seem to be working. I’ve emailed the nothing team, but got no response (yet). Anyway my app has to go through 2 weeks of testing, so i’m on the hunt for 12 testers.
GowdhamRavichandran will do after the holidays
About the key, did you give them the sha1 of the apk signed by google? You need to give the signature after having it uploaded to play store
And for the testers, you can just give the invite to all your friends (even people without Nothing phones or iphones) and make them join: the counter will go up anyway and they don’t even need to install the app. Of course if you actually need testers you might want to get them with Nothing phones, in that case you should publish a post here, reddit and/or discord.

Hardik There’s one bug (that I’ve just fixed, will be out tomorrow) which makes Glyphs remain on after swiping a notification (especially from Whatsapp). That said, Phone(1) has some problems with the GDK which cause sometimes the glyphs to remain on, I cannot do anything about that as of right now. Maybe one day Nothing will either patch it or make GDK open source so the community can patch it…
To “unstuck” the glyph you can turn on and off the glyph torch (don’t know if still works on A15), restart the app or turn off and on Extential via the switch.
@Fr4nKB After the latest app update, automatic composer is no longer working…
RedSkul×HYDRA does it give you a message? Have you tried clearing cache and force stopping the app?
Fr4nKB yeah, it show some message (Ss attached below). I haven’t tried clearing vache though, will give it a shot.

After using the app for a while I found some things that could maybe be added:
1: Sharing of Ringtones, but I imagine this being quite hard on the storage side, because it would mean you need to store all of them.
2: Detect music playing (probably trough the Android Music Player), and if a name matching sound is saved, it uses that light sequence.
