This post describes my recent thoughts exactly. I understand the idea that the users should express their feelings in the community so Nothing can see them and take action.
What I don’t get is the way people express this ideas. As mentioned above, some people are completely disrespectful and use the community as if it was a direct chat with IT support. The whole BGMI 90fps topic is an example of the lack of understanding what the community is for, and what real expectations should be from a phone company.
I think the idea behind the community is for nothing enthusiast people to share their ideas and maybe co-creating, as we saw with some people that posted their own concepts or created their own Nothing-inspired apps. But I am seeing now some people in the community completely disregarding this creations.
For example, in a post about a concept Phone (3), I saw comments such as “I don’t like the camera layout, change it” or “It looks really bad”. Or people disrespecting a developer for wanting to charge 1,19€ for a Glyph enhancer app.
I think maybe the moderators should consider facing this issue to keep the community as a place to share ideas, and not just to complain.
PD: Many examples can also be found on Nothing’s social media, where in every post there are people saying “Please fix camera, it’s bad quality and more like a phone of XXX price” and idk, I would invite them to check the monthly photography challenges and see what nice pictures the Nothing camera can take
