Nothing OS 3.0 | Phone (2a) Open Beta
Hi, I just installed the beta 3.0 unlocker, but it will not detect an update. I do have a Nothing phone 2a. Is there anything I can do?

Ren_Chaosz_ What message are you getting (if any) when running Update to Beta version
Hi, thank you for your reply. It does not show an update at all. It says my device is up to date, but it’s at 2.6 l, not 3.0.
The beta tool is running in memory, so I know it’s active.

Ren_Chaosz_ It sounds like you may be trying to search for updates via the standard OTA method (Settings > System > System Updates) Could you just confirm? apologies if not. You could provide a screenshot if you think that will help.
In order to update to beta you need to install that APK - which it looks like you have - and install the beta via Settings > System > Update to beta version

KarlKeppler Well, most people, including me, don’t like this app from Google. Nothing. OS is style, aesthetics. It’s not for nothing that the community is developing such an app.
Anyone incurred in major issue with beta? I have no backup phone
Derren Running 3.0 beta now. It’s to early for any opinion, but it sure does feel fast/smooth.

JohnTheDon_6tgPe6JbkR Hi, it is too soon to tell. I have it for a few hours now. So far everything works fine.
MarcoNaccarato I’m using the Nothing OS 3.0 beta since the first day it was launched and I haven’t found any major issue or bug. System is smooth and responsive, battery backup is great and imo camera is working better. I find more detail on photos taken with main and ultra wide cameras and there are improvements in low light shots.

Alexshax Most people where I am USA, don’t want a dialer. They want to keep Google Dialer. Also after using OS 3, it looks and feels just like IOS. Is Nothing trying to make the Nothing Phone an IPHONE clone on Android?
I hope we get these three things.
1. Auto switching to mobile data as wifi has low quality should be turned off or let us have an option to not do.
2. Option to make Data restriction to individual apps.
3. Mobile data usage should be refreshed every day!!!

I hope Nothing gives a gallery app this time. Also there must be an option to choose the dotted format on lockscreen and in some other areas you removed it. It was the dotted text that looked cool and made the phone standout. Will wait till November for NP2 update

Natalie So Far the OS. 3.0. is an another level performance, The processing speed has increased a lot and the animations are faster compared to previous. New customisation for lock screen is great but the thing is we can’t switch the colours. We know it’s Monologue color pattern atleast please give a black and white option to the lockscreen clock color. And also widget placement without clock looks odd but understandable since Notifications to be displayed there. The colour pattern is the only thing that makes this non - able to view as a upgrade.
