Just got the update šŸ˜‹. First impressions were cool, but then maybe… ehh? A couple of things I really liked seem to be missing, and I’d love to have them back.

  1. Control Center - Wi-Fi / Mobile Data Toggle: Previously, we could swipe within the controller widget to easily switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data. But now that’s gone, and we have to place individual controls for each. As a dual SIM user, this feels like a bit of a mess. šŸ™

  2. Hold Torch to Glyph Torch: I used this feature a lot, and I don’t see the need for two separate buttons for this function. It would be great if you could bring back the older control option while keeping the separate buttons for those who prefer them.

Some suggestions:

  • The smart drawer seems fine, but I’d love to see a blurry, transparent effect like in iOS.

  • Some icons in the Control Center feel slightly misaligned, and once I noticed it, I couldn’t unsee it! šŸ˜…

  • In the smart drawer, I have a ā€œSocialā€ section with Facebook, Skype, and Telegram as big icons, but WhatsApp is a smaller icon. I use WhatsApp daily and barely touch Skype or Telegram (maybe once or twice a week). It would be great if this could be adjusted based on usage!

Overall, the rest feels really good. Kudos to the team!

EDIT : SMART DRAWER DOES UPDATE ICONS ON USAGE! AWESOME šŸ˜Ž

Nothing OS 3.0 Review (After 5 Days of Use)

Pros:

- Quick-Setting Panel: Abolutely love how seamless and intuitive it feels. Navigating through essential functions is a breeze.

-  Organized Settings:  The categorized layout makes accessing features far easier, offering a more streamlined user experience.

-  App Drawer Performance:  Smooth and responsive, the app drawer works wonderfully, giving quick access to apps.

-  Network Settings:  The optimized controls for Wi-Fi and data usage were a highlight, working efficiently throughout my usage.

-  Fingerprint Animation:  Snappy and visually appealing, the fingerprint unlock animation adds a cool flair to everyday use.

-  Auto-Archive Feature:  A fantastic addition, helping to keep things organized without much effort.

Cons:

-  N Dot Font:  While the new serif font looks clean and modern, I personally miss the signature N Dot font from previous versions.

-  Clock Faces:  The clock faces could use a little more creativity and variation—there’s definitely room for improvement here.

-  Network Issues:  Faced quite a few glitches when switching between mobile data and Wi-Fi, which impacted connectivity.

-  Instagram Bugs:  Encountered issues with Instagram stories—sometimes they wouldn’t progress forward or backward.

-  Update Check Problems:  There were consistent errors when checking for updates, with messages saying there was no internet connection despite being connected.

-  Lack of Gallery & Widgets:  No native gallery app, and features like a countdown widget would have been a nice touch.

Final Thoughts:

Overall, I enjoyed my time experimenting with Nothing OS 3.0. The design and functionality updates offer a fresh and enjoyable experience. However, the persistent network issues made me roll back to a previous version.  Caution: If you’re planning to roll back, be sure to back up your data, as the process will erase everything.

Despite these issues, I’m excited to see what the stable update brings and look forward to giving it another go soon!

After 2 day of updating the beta when I put the mobile on the charger it blink as there is notification but there is nothing I tried to restart mobile nothing have changed so there is a solution ?

I have bought it 2 weeks ago

It would be nice if there is an alternative bug reporting method just for beta

It feels so waste to reply to email with details such as os version, color and imei on every small bug reports

Merged 1 post from Glyphs blinking.

I’ve updated the beta 3.0, loved it. The only thing that causes issue is that it doesn’t allows the music widget on the lock screen instead of that u have to control the music in the control center.

I want that music widget as usual it was in OS2.6 on the lock scree.

Help me with the settings to put a music widget on lock screen.

Merged 1 post from 2a 5g problem after beta 1 update.

Hey mate, I’d submit your Nothing OS 3 feedback to Nothing via settings>system>feedback. This makes sure it gets to the right team.

Why feedback is required everytime can’t the community help, can figure out the issue here itself?

Shabd coz its difficult to keep track for requested things from here. no developer is free here to go through each thread. theres a reason we have feedback option in system. and community cant help with requirement like this. community didnt make the OS 3.0.

Merged 4 posts from Music widget on lock screen .

Shabd giving feedback doesnt give instant solution. its just for feedback but company does go through all the feedbacks.

Tushar such a basic feature, still missing from the os.

      Hello guys

Anyone tested the camera and can give a short report.

Camera quality was criticised during the last months.

The beta OS within itself is very stable and good. Kudos to the team for creating such an amazing experience of the OS that too in the beta phase I did notice a few bugs at start but they were not repeated further.

However I do have a suggestion that the team should implement on, the font colour of the clock style on the lockscreen is not changeable and that really creates a huge problem, for instance I have to stick with wallpapers that are on the darker side and are monochromatic in colour I cannot apply lighter wallpapers or abstract ones as the clock colour isn’t visible then and to be honest this really takes away the freedom of customisation on Android. The option of changing colours on the clock style should be given. Hope the team reads this. šŸ‘šŸ»

Rob āš”ļø don’t remember if I posted this here or the other thread.

Can we get the option to change fonts . I really grew to looking the dot font on the home screen and seeing the update ones feels odd.
