Hello everyone, I’m facing a peculiar problem with my Nothing phone 2 from the time of update, Phone has a weak signal reception both on sim and on WiFi when compared to my old one plus 5t phone. My phone gets disconnected from my Sim’s network(Jio) whenever there is a switch from 4g to 5g and vice-versa. And many times I have to switch on Air plane mode and come back or need to restart the phone to get back the connectivity. same is the case with My Jio WiFi, which has two modes 2g mode which has a 40MB speed limit and 5g mode which has 150MB speed limit.. Nothing phone 2 will not be able to switch to 5g mode automatically even when I’m very near to my modem, I have to manually switch to 5g mode to get higher speed connectivity. I hv reset my Network settings number of times still the problem persists. Any help from the community is appreciated.. Thank you.

I’m facing similar issue recently with WiFi… even though WiFi connection is strong it doesn’t work on phone. Have to switch to Aeroplane mode and turn it off again to make it work and sometimes have to restart the phone.

However, the problem comes again after some time..

Have tried resetting network settings already.

    Anyone else facing similar issues?

Good morning, I am in a similar situation, sometimes the connection is lost and I have to switch between the 4G and 5G networks until the signal is restored.

      Same issue with my phone

Got phone on 18th oct 23. After a day phone starting disconnected from my wifi even when it has excellent strength.

Did aeroplane mode and even restart also…but sometimes problem got solved and sometimes not.

Sometimes wifi internet speed and mobile network speed is also very low. Everytime need to activate aeroplane mode to get the actual speed.

Facing the same issue. Can Anyone help?

Guys I may have a solve, try changing your WLAN channel width on your router to 40MHz the issue with mine was that it was set at 20/40MHz which I think the phone 2 must not support

Every device has some different issues, mine 512 GB version has issues with 5G only. Not passing more than 100Mbs. Shall I keep the device or return?

I have a similar issue where it struggles with weak SIM signals and has frequent call drops especially on Airtel. It struggles to keep staying connected to Wifi and 5g.

another failure. Trying to connect a Xiaomi device with its app, it was impossible to connect to the device, it gave me a connection error. I have tried with another smartphone and it connected the first time and with nothing I have not been able to, no matter how much I have tried it while respecting the device and the app. impossible

I have Jio & Airtel sims & the mobile signals are weak in my home since the mobile towers are over 4-500 meters away.

Since I also have an Airtel optical fibre broadband, I have turned on wifi calling, & have no issues with receiving & making calls.

Those of you who have wired broadband could try out wifi calling as a solution.

Currently I am own a Nothing Phone 2 (512 GB) version and I am facing a same issue in which I am receiving very slow speed from Wi-Fi. It is happening only in this phone all of the devices are working properly with Wi-Fi

Open a Web browser and Type your router’s IP address in to the browser’s address bar.Hit Enter after you type in the IP address (example: http://123.456.1.1)

Your browser may display a warning screen at this point, then Click Proceed.

Most routers have a sticker on them that shows information such as the router’s IP address (shown as Router login details🙂 and the username and password you need to log in to the router

          Enter the router’s username.

Enter the username and password exactly as they appear. They are case sensitive.

If you’re having trouble finding the username and password, check the documentation that came with your router or contact the router manufacturer.

Then follow this link to change only the channel width to 40Mhz
