Well, I bought nothing ear (2) on Nov 25th. Recently I noticed that the battery on the left side drains faster than the right side, and not only that, the left side takes longer to charge compared to the right side. I have tested this with ANC, Transparency, and OFF modes, and the results are consistently the same. (I do not use the ear(2) individually.)

Is anyone else experiencing the same issue?

digitalboy I have been using the ear 2 for half an year, and i haven’t faced any such issue so far. With ANC on it lasts for 4.5 hours, and without Anc it lasts for 6 hours. I have to charge it once in every 2 days. I had used the Oppo Enco air 2 pro before and that gave around 5 with ANC and 7 without anc and charge once in every 4 days.

I have both black Ear 2 some time ago and did not face any issues regarding battery, stability between device and earbuds etc.

JaswanthP roughly 2 hours with ANC, resetted several times, nothing changed.

Facing the same issue: less than two hours battery, the buds are dead before I arrive at work.

Unfortunately I bought them on vacation and can’t return, I really hope nothing has some kind of response to this desaster

Hi all…sad to hear so many have had a negative experience with ear 2. One way that might help nothing is in your comments tell what region you are from, what device you are using, and if your using the Nothing app or not as well as if the app is up to date.

I’ve had none of these issues and my buds last several hours. I did a long 2hr call with anc and over half charge left. Hope this helps.

I also noticed my Ear (2) Black got 2+ hours and maybe because I’m using ANC + EQ custom + LHDC is the culprit. IDK is the firmware or else because when I purchased it, 1st month of using it can last longer, around 3+ hours. (that time only use simple EQ)

So, is everyone using LHDC, EQ custom? I can see everyone using ANC. 🤔

I use Ear 2 with Google pixel 6a. I’m from Ukraine and I also use custom eq + AAC audio(without ANC), app version 2.3.10
Battery life -> +-3.5h.
I think that Nothing should release an update to the headphones in which they optimize the power consumption of the headphones (it’s easy to say, but it’s the only option)

Headphone battery: 33 mAh

Audio format: AAC

Volume: 50-60%

Calculation of the operating time with noise cancellation enabled:

Power consumption of the headphones with noise cancellation enabled:

AAC: 5.5 mAh/h

Operating time of the headphones with noise canceling enabled:

33 mAh / 5.5 mAh/h = 6 hours

Calculating the operating time without noise canceling:

Power consumption of the headphones without noise canceling enabled:

AAC: 4.5 mAh/h

Headphone operating time without noise canceling:

33 mAh / 4.5 mAh/h = 7.3 hours

I had the white ear 2 which lasted for 1-2 months before the battery started acting strange and lasted max 2h with ANC on, no LHDC-sound, 50% volume and 0 calls. So I returned them and got the got the black once which lasts 2 months before they started acting exactly the same as the one before. I have tried factory reset them multiple time, but it does not change anything.

I bought both in Sweden and using s23 ultra and the nothing x app, everything is updated.

So my ear 2 drains battery so quickly like within few hours.

So after I turned off in ear detection I have noticed avery decent battery backup . So give it try and let me know if it works!
