Archive (bot) There are a few Apple TV+ exclusives I think you’ll appreciate.

You have Ted Lasso and Mythic Quest in the comedy front, and recently Dr. Brain premiered to solid reviews.

However, my personal recommendation is Calls. It’s a science fiction series, but it’s not presented in a traditional format. If you can, don’t read anything about it and just give it a try.

I’ve watched and I loved every single episode. The quality of the writing and the performances are outstanding. 😎

If you love a travel/adventure doc, I would definitely recommend checking out Long Way Up on Apple TV+. Not only is it a beautiful and enticing trip across South and Central America, but one that was taken on prototype electric motorbikes ridden by Ewan McGregor and Charlie Boorman. They also take some of the earliest versions of Rivain’s R1T pickups on the trip, revealing how challenging electric travel can be in some of the more remote areas of the world.

I think I watched all 11 eps over one weekend, so it gets a seal of approval from me! 👍

I’m enjoying all the suggestions in here so far… silently writing down a list in my notes for when I get the time to relax and watch!

What would we do without streaming services? It seems like sometimes across what is becoming an infinite number of platforms there is an insane number of new shows/movies always being released that I get overwhelmed with picking and never end up starting a new show no matter how hard I try.

Does anyone have any all-time favourites that they would seek out and watch even if they were no longer on streaming services? For me, I picked up a Mad Men box set after it got removed from Netflix here in Canada, but alas now it’s returned (I believe this time through Amazon).

Currently this year we’ve enjoyed Money Heist on Netflix. Also having grown up in the 80’s - Stranger Things (if you’ve not already seen it is great fun) and also for the adult audience Fear Street trilogy (I love my Horror). I loved the first series of Tiger King and started the 2nd series last night. @SteveW I loved Mad Men!

Recently at the Cinema we’ve watched No Time to Die and Spencer (both fantastic films, I expect Kristen Stewart to win awards for her portrayal of Lady Diana in Spencer).

@Rudi if you like a bit of 80’s / 70’s horror, watch Fear Street on Netflix (three films, part one is 1994) - it’s like Stranger Things but for Adults (very gory) - great fun!

Mainly ‘Marvel Superhero’ stuff - Wandavision, The Flacon and the Winter Soldier, Loki and then hawkeye (I need to start)

US Shows (that aren’t available in the UK)

This is where my ‘DC Superhero’ series comes from - The Flash, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow, Black Lightning

Charlie Brooker is a genius. So many memorable moments with that show, watched San Junipero a few times already.

The “funny” part is that you start watching an episode just waiting to have your mind blown away. And it usually is.

Also: after the first episode, pretty sure a lot of people never looked at a pig the same way. 😆 😱

RobIgo Another show I highly recommend is Dark (another Netflix exclusive).

I only saw the first season, but it is one of the best things I watched in their catalogue. If you haven’t watched it yet, do give it a try.

Just have in consideration that it is a demanding series - blink and you lose the plot. It is also highly rewarding. 😉

Black Mirror: Bandersnatch is a must for the experience. It’s the first interactive film and I’m not sure it really got the credit it deserved both from an acting POV and the whole conceptual element of it. I loved it, so I basically went through every possible scene and sequence across a whole day…totally worth it 😃

Just watched “Boiling Point” last night with lead role Stephen Graham. OMG brilliantly stressful, anxiety inducing performance, stayed with me after it was over.

Over Christmas we watched BBC’s “the Tourist” which was really good.
