ObradKostadinovic If you’re having to charge your phone 3-4 times a day, that certainly isn’t normal. Even if your battery was at 80% of its original capacity, you wouldn’t need to charge that much. Considering how well battery life is on my unit, certainly wouldn’t put it down to a software issue. If it was a software issue, we’d all be experiencing those problems with the battery. I know Nothing in the UK do have a phone number. If you’re based in the UK, have you tried contacting them and speaking on a call?

Kind regards.

Nope, I’m from Serbia, so there is no direct support. But the problem is that my phone does have a software issue, like the other users with the same problem - in my battery stats I can see that wifi is destroying my battery life. But that’s probably not even wifi, a user found out that the kernel keeps sucking on the battery, so we can at least wait for the next update and see if that helps. If that fails I’ll try to replace my phone somehow.

I’ve been considering getting the Nothing Phone (2a) but have come across numerous reports of bugs and issues on Reddit and within the Nothing community. Could you provide honest feedback on these concerns to help me make an informed decision?

      Hey 👋

Do you have any further information and specifics about which ‘bugs’ you’re concerned about? Currently your post is quite vague.

In general bugs can exist within any app, and on any device, but if you believe there is something specific existing on 2a then please let us know so we can better guide you.

Hello Nothing Community members, I was interested in buying the Nothing Phone 2a as my first smartphone, as i really loved the whole idea of Nothing and their phone series. However, as i delved deeper, i have seen SO MANY complaints about SO MANY things and it makes me wonder so much if i shoukd get this honestly. Then i realized why not ask the community itself!

So dear phone 2a users, Do you regret buying the device? How is it overall and what are its major drawbacks? and finally, do you suggest i get the phone.

AdityaVineeth_DI_ I wouldn’t recommend it. Software is very good, quite fluid and fast. But positives end there. The vibration motor of the device is almost non existent. I don’t know how on earth some said it has good haptics, perhaps those who never get any phone calls. The display panel is amongst the poor quality ones, washed out and all. The loudspeaker while loud has no low ends, tinny like sound. Battery is quite fine for me as I’m a very basic user who never bothers with any game.

Yes, I regret it. The device is not that cheap to cheap out on various aspects like the display, haptics and so on. Shelling out a bit more will give you a much better device whilst saving a notable amount won’t give you that much of a worse one.

I think this is one is those companies who is here for a quick money grab.

AdityaVineeth_DI_ I am not sure. I mean I myself was going for the moto edge 50 fusion but changed my mind due to its curved screen. Nothing 2a had a flat screen which I wanted, and the reviews were mostly all positives, so went for it. You could consider the motorola phones. If Samsung software is okay with you then there’s that as well, but not my thing them Samsungs. But whatever you get samsung or motorola, at least the basic stuffs will be covered, which nothing phone 2a failed at.

azeemmohd60 don’t buy it has issues with display like you can see in the image compared to another amoled display it’s not only on my 2a but I have seen multiple users having the same issue mainly you will notice in low light rooms

Same issue here. It’s affecting like 40-60% of users. So my advise is wait for fix or get the different phone. Maybe OnePlus or Motorola.

          • Smooth software
          • It is the most unique UI I have ever experienced since Windows Phone
          • Solid battery
          • It has a decent camera, certainly nowhere near pixel
          • Surprisingly good sound
          • They promised long-term support
          • They are a start-up that wishes to innovate
          • If there is one thing that is missing is the ESIM functionality which is essential for people travelling abroad frequently
