zygerboy I’m sorry but touch sensitive buttons would be so bad D:
You would have to look for them every time you would wanna change the volume or turn the phone on. Would be very annoiing xD

zygerboy how about the volume slider be above power button for more ergonomic design.and due to amoled screens there might not be any need for biometrics on side

pixcel25 do we really need physical power button? because, when I imagined this concept to be a complete buttonless experience to overall design, I thought to have a more advanced option replacing the old school button. I experienced a very strange hinder with the power button thing in my old phones, I used it a lot and because of dependency the button malfunctioned a lot. I had to go through a hell of trouble when I accidently turned off my device and now the button is stuck and unable to boot the phone, I had to take it to a service guy to completely open it and then remove it. Since then, I just used display tap to wake up or manually reboot every alternate day. This experience gave me an idea like, why can’t we just eradicate the button system to avoid such scenario, and its not like the whole body will be smother or anything, it will just have a bump that anyone can just feel the icon shape the moment they touch without even looking at the phone and let the fingerprint sensor take care of everything. that’s the overall idea beind keeping the design buttonless.

Very futuristic design for a phone. The concepts for many features are nice like the volume slider. My only concern is some people do need a physical feel for some buttons like a silent switch or power button. They are just more convinient without pulling out your phone from the pocket sometimes. The Glyph design could be different too. Its a great start nonetheless. Great work mate! Keep it up.

Damn…🥹🥹🥹that looks🌋🌋🌋…It was my biggest dream to see a nothing phone with essential/charging glyphs on frame as nothing branding probably….hope nothing look at this seriously.

zygerboy it’s so good man, awesome work and it feels so fresh and good to see community creating and working on designing different products to keep the work innovative and exciting. And about the concept you made, the camera layout should be sort of similar to phone 2a cus the one you made feels like every other phone. It’s obv cus we are the everyday people. But it would be cool to see more Innovation on camera layouts and design. Maybe it’s because of the mechanism of camera to work properly so that may be the case cus im not expert. But love your work man keep this up.

Really like the buttonless design, the physical button is the most fragile part of the phone, it usually worn out after a few years, and very hard to be water proof.

But for buttonless, we may have other concerns. I wonder whether it changes the way to access recovery mode, bootloader menu or EDL mode. How is the button still functional when using cases.

SamAron Thank you for such kind words! I understand about the camera placements, infact I had similar thoughts while modeling. But I wondered for a while, when I saw Phone 1 & 2 camera placement and then 2(a) camera position, I brainstormed myself what if those camera positions are indications of a number 1, 2 and 3. in that sense, I thought to give a diagonal position for camera to symbolize it as a 3 matching with the 3rd gen design for fictional Phone 3(a). Thanks again for your comment. 😊

Zang You got it very right there! physical button is a major concern over a period of time. And YES! all functionality should also support like recovery mode, bootloader menu just by holding the same areas using Volume down + power touch to reboot into the safe mode menu. Buttonless also comes very handy to make the phone full waterproof even in deep submerged conditions.

NarasimhaPalla I can understand when I exaggerated with 7″ display! how about a 6.25 with less tall and more wider screen with as aspect ratio of 18:11 with 2048×1152?

        21 days later

PLS Shrink it down. 6.7″ is already to big for my Hands. 7.0″ no pls no.

        I Hope we get a 6.2″ Option.

        6 days later

This is too much over like toys but buttonless concept is amazing and xtra ordinary

        zygerboy

        No offense

But the design is looking really bad 🤮 ( it looks as if it has straight come from Minecraft)

The technology you will be using for volume is also 👎 because mistouch can happen at anytime anywhere

(For example, if you were in a funeral and your hands were in your pockets and due to super sensitivity of that area the volume of your phone will increase immediately. And suddenly a call comes, and then that will be a moment of peak embarrassment. At that time, even a message will be enough )

Plus, it has just too much width that I doubt if it will fit into pockets. And the phone will gain quite much weight too.

So you have to balance those ratios, so that it will not look odd in appearance like the Xiaomi Mi phones look nowadays.
