Hey everyone!

I’m excited to share more pictures of what I’ve been working on. I’ve made a decent attempt to bring out a true color render, but due to my limited hardware capabilities, my PC crashed multiple times during the process. Nonetheless, here are some (half-cooked) images of an imaginary, non-official, fanboy design for a “What If?” scenario: the Nothing Phone 3(a). Presenting the world’s first buttonless phone! Yes, there are literally no buttons anywhere.

Key Features of this concept:

World’s first button less superphone (no more buttons)

Super sensitive V-Glyph (thanks to @vovan-v for the name) The next gen volume rocker is now a volume slider.

In-build wireless charger for Nothing Ear phone cases.

Touch sensitive power on/off with biometric lock

Dual speaker (top and bottom) with dual mic for left or right hand usage keeping the best call quality.

Under display hidden camera only gets activated when you turn on the front camera.

Introducing the transparent sim tray.

First solar panel chip integrated behind the 3-tech design within the phone, charge the device as you travel outdoors during the day time.

camera featuring 50MP cinema lens camera with 24MP ultra wide and allowing users to capture in 12, 18, 24, 32, 48 and 50 MP options including cinematic videos with 24 and 60 FPS true color resolution.

Phone charging status bar inside the 3-tech design to allow users how much juice is left in the device without checking it in the display.

Worlds first 7″ display with minimal bezels.

Thank you for all the comments and critics. This is just to remind some of you that the following images are just a concept and in no way is any sort of official announcement, I am not from Nothing nor do I claim to post anything from Nothing. Like you all, I too am a new fanboy for the Nothing Brand. I have seen many designers and creators in this good community and thought to give it a try to bring out my idea, to which many of you have loved and appreciated it and I am very much grateful for your encouraging words. But to some, it sounded more alarming. Please note; this is just an idea and is just a simple concept. This phone does not exist and no one is planning to bring this out. Please take it as a fictional subject and not meant for reality.

Last but not the least, thanks to all the feedback and showing your appreciation for the design concept of the new volume glyph, or as @vovan-v suggested the V-glyph name for the volume slider.

Let me know what you guys think, and let me know your speculations, dig into these pictures and discover what’s should or shouldn’t be in this phone?

@Ali Fakhruddin @RohitPakalapati @Natalie ✨ @pixcel25 @hrry @Rob ⚡️ What you guys think about this? 😊

zygerboy I literally have no words bud…Amazing work and quite clean design with some fine detailings…The Nothing team will be drooling upon this concept images…😍.Keep up the amazing work👏

zygerboy wow you are on fire my friend 🔥 i thinked that you desing might be good but this one is amazing without buttons.

My idea is that V-glyph can be touchable but not always maybe after clicking on it two times for non-wrong taches. Or it coul be sentesive feeleng and only working on strong press on it.

I love the Glyph design and the “buttonless” concept.

Thinking about usability and how a phone without buttons could be turned on, I thought it would be interesting to have some type of NFC unique key that would start the phone, just like the keys of a car.

Also, I would like to mention the sides of the phone in your render. Are those bars some type of capacitive slider? (Like the camera gimmick on the new iPhone 16)

Great work dude, keep it up 🙌🏻

zygerboy - wonderful innovation sir, but wat if we get some add on to have a smallest projector at the back side which would give a dual display along with glymph not the complete screen but some projector screening like the kindle screen. Again not the complete back portion but just the middle part which could be replaced with the “3” you displayed a glymph with a rendering screen for pop up notification with just app symbols too can be creative. 🙂

PrachuryyaBora thank you, although I could’nt able to bring out the finishing touches in my render but am glad you liked it. I just hope Nothing team may find any of the shown feature useful for their future product release. Thank you once again <3

@vovan-v 😆Actually my CPU and GPU were on fire while rendering. I had this issues with buttons on my previous phones they just stop functioning after a while. even while using phone 2a i feel like the buttons are constantly get clicked accidently even while simply holding the phone for no other reason, I felt like, do we really need button while finger print scanner under the hood does all the things. even power button can be a touch sensitive and only responds to the owner and no one can use that as well. The V-glyph is a volume rocker with high sensitivity touch or super responsive touch while i was designing that. Meaning, it has to be a very high tech thing that only activates with the owners touch and not just with any touch. even while holding and the phone is lets say idle and display is off, volume rockers will not activate just like that. phone should be unlocked to enable sliding the volume thing up and down and the red indicates the full volume at peak. strong press can become a accessibility to instantly mute the phone while the device display is on. that’s the basic idea behind the V-glyph or volume glyph.

@ashu_ Thank you, am glad you liked it 😊

@Bubi Am glad you liked the buttonless concept! in my mind the initial setup process, simple tap and hold on the power icon showed in the picture, will have to boot the device. and once after setup is done, the owner just need to use his/her biometric to access all features of the phone including power on/off. this means, super heavy security that no other person can even switch off your device. the bars you see is a super sensitive volume rocker+music equilizer that moves as per the music (optional choice for users preference to turn this on or off) but mostly it plays as a touch sensitive volume rocker. there is no gimmick like the iphone here in this concept its a pure fully functional feature with its advantages and for those who are say blinded they can easy identify just with the touch of the small bumps on the phone and identify which on is volume bar and which is power icon. just like we see in headphones and in any keyboard with F and J keys. this bump will help them as well.

@aniketrege1991 thank you sir. Sadly having a projector in a phone is actually a major drawback considering its limited battery life cycle. The back circular glyph is actually consist of a small wireless charging pod inbuild for ear1 or any other nothing earphones case. I also thought to add a mini circular display but then again, It might be a huge burden on the battery life to run two displays. the middle part where the 3 design is kept, I thought to add a solar panel design behind the three which will auto recharge the phone and no need to have the cable or wireless charging anymore. I don’t know why manufacturer haven’t thought to introduce a solar charging phone. But in my sketched design in my book, behind the three there is a solar chip that will charge the battery when people are just outdoors and travelling in broad daylight.

I love the idea of lights to indicate the volume on the outside of the phone, possibly make it only work if the phone is on or music is playing and only show the lights when you touch it otherwise those lights will drain battery.

zygerboy design is awesome but need to work on back side as it’s not interesting as much so need to upgrade this

zygerboy not exactly a projector but if you have come accross huawei had a product with a rugged type of dual screen (second screen at the back). I understand with all the other circuits might make a mess up with the glymph in place. But it would be a wonderful add on even without the RGB or just with the black and white display.

zygerboy I’m sorry but touch sensitive buttons would be so bad D:
You would have to look for them every time you would wanna change the volume or turn the phone on. Would be very annoiing xD

zygerboy how about the volume slider be above power button for more ergonomic design.and due to amoled screens there might not be any need for biometrics on side

pixcel25 do we really need physical power button? because, when I imagined this concept to be a complete buttonless experience to overall design, I thought to have a more advanced option replacing the old school button. I experienced a very strange hinder with the power button thing in my old phones, I used it a lot and because of dependency the button malfunctioned a lot. I had to go through a hell of trouble when I accidently turned off my device and now the button is stuck and unable to boot the phone, I had to take it to a service guy to completely open it and then remove it. Since then, I just used display tap to wake up or manually reboot every alternate day. This experience gave me an idea like, why can’t we just eradicate the button system to avoid such scenario, and its not like the whole body will be smother or anything, it will just have a bump that anyone can just feel the icon shape the moment they touch without even looking at the phone and let the fingerprint sensor take care of everything. that’s the overall idea beind keeping the design buttonless.

Very futuristic design for a phone. The concepts for many features are nice like the volume slider. My only concern is some people do need a physical feel for some buttons like a silent switch or power button. They are just more convinient without pulling out your phone from the pocket sometimes. The Glyph design could be different too. Its a great start nonetheless. Great work mate! Keep it up.

Damn…🥹🥹🥹that looks🌋🌋🌋…It was my biggest dream to see a nothing phone with essential/charging glyphs on frame as nothing branding probably….hope nothing look at this seriously.
