My device is over heating with no usage. I turned off the device due to over heating at night and turned on at morning. It still feels heat a lot with no background apps running. Outside temperature is also not that hot and it’s normal as before.

Mr_SuryaTeja bro there are 2 chances 1. Some apps are running in background 2. Some os problem or there should be problem with your unit if you have warranty you should contact nothing

I think its because some app is constantly in the background causing that issue check your battery isage and uninstall the app using too much battery by running in the background i had the same issue and i had to uninstall Instagram once that was done it seemed fine

I tried factory resetting the device. Still the device heats as before. the charging is also taking more time around 120min to charge.

Mr_SuryaTeja ok you factory reset your phone but did reinstall your apps ? There maybe an app that a bad behavior in the background due to bad update. Check your background running apps in the developer setting menu.

Same here, today the nothing phone 2 start to drain its battery life a lot faster with a heat like if im playing videogames when the screen is off

I am facing overheating issue while using the device and connected to the charger. Charging stops because of overheating. Now my device’s battery draining faster. It’s happening after the 2.5.1 update.

Since last 15-20 days, my Nothing Phone (2) is overheating without any specific reason. When I am not even doing some heavy task on it, it still gets very hot. Also, the battery isn’t charging as fast as it used to charge before although I have not changed my charger. I think there’s some problem with the new update or there’s some fault in my battery. What do you guys think? Is it just me or are you facing the same problem too?

I ran a geekbench score on my nothing 2. It’s very poor especially in multi-core when compared to the results from other youtubers on Google. I got the score around 1.2k in single core(used to be around 1.7k) and 2.6k in multi-core (used to be around 4.4k). The devices still getting overheated even at early mornings where the outside temperature is at 26°C

Same Problem Face in Phone 1. Day by day rise heating issues. To that time almost rise heating temperature peak almost 40°C.

NothingTushar13 No Heating or Charging issue here check with other adaptors or else do a factory reset and check

No Heating issue & Charging is fine,
My concern is the battery backup on firmware version 2.5.2 is not meeting expectations, especially compared to the previous patch, which performed well in all aspects, including Antutu scores.
It’s important for developers to address these regressions promptly to ensure users’ overall satisfaction and experience with the product…. Because currently i can read many post on this forum and on discord too that USERS are utterly disappointed.

PSYCHO yes same issue with me .

I’m not able to charge after 47-48% battery reaches high temperature and shows alert.

Charging very slow with 45W nothing charger also tried different charger as well same issue.
