Flanagan go into the app info section there you will find the battery usage section click on that you will find an option named allow background usage click on that there you would find this option of either that it to optimise or set it to unrestricted

From there just set it to unrested and your done

@“AteebJawaid”#p152289I have it enabled, so that shouldn’t be the problem. Maybe it doesn’t happen to everyone; I’m just unlucky.

Flanagan umm nope i guess you didnt got it click on that option there you will find optimised and unrestricted mode … based on the screen shot I guess it is the option of allowed background usage

Click on the toption there you will find two option namely and restricted and optimise set it to unrestricted

AteebJawaid Oh, okay, I get it. I’ll try that option. I have to do it for all the apps individually, right? And don’t you notice increased battery consumption with that option enabled?

      Thank you so much

Flanagan you certainly don’t have to do it manually for every app because I think only few app get affected and talk in about battery part I really didn’t notice any such of a battery drop while having unrestricted mode turned on it’s must create a little bit of difference in battery life but it is not noticeable at all

I have never felt like my battery is draining faster after turning this understricted mode on

Flanagan yes battery consumption will definitely increase as long as the notifications remain unchecked thus running on the background. But if you check them frequently no need to worry about battery.

AteebJawaid I don’t use Instagram or similar apps. Putting an app on Unrestricted mode will keep it running in background until the notifications of that app is cleared.

What surprises me is What surprises me is that everything worked perfectly for me without having this option enabled before updating to OS 3.0. You put I don’t understand what could have happened, it all happened suddenly

Flanagan it wasn’t issue before the update 3.0 this problem come with the update and what likely Be gone with the future update of nothing was 3.1 I guess they already know about this issue and they would just fix it in the next update because no way they are leaving it like this

AteebJawaid They know because I’ve been telling the technical service for two months now.

                5 days later

Just contacted support. The support agent just told me to follow a generic debugging procedure (restart, factory reset etc)… and that’s it? I told him I’m not factory resetting because I’m not the only one with the issue and I don’t want to setup the device again for no reason.

AliAzeem I was told the same thing, I did it, and it didn’t solve the problem. This was a month ago, before the last update a few days ago. I also refuse to repeat the process.

Flanagan Even after I updated yesterday, I got a 42 minute delay in a notification from the TickTick app. I keep this phone mainly for productivity purposes and this issue kills the purpose I bought it

Merged 5 posts from Problem receiving notifications with locked mobile.

Experiencing the same problem here. In some applications, like WhatsApp, notifications come quite fast. However, in other applications like Chess.com, only when I unlock the phone (Nothing Phone 3a in my case) that all notifications show up.

From what we can see, the problem is in all later versions. From what I can see, the problem is present in all versions after 2.6. There’s no solution yet, and it’s been over two months.
