I noticed even in Nothing os 2.6 using Phone (1) .
Adam just to know, I’m from Serbia like you 😅
Very rare to see another Nothing phone user in Serbia.

Stefan Yeah, same here. NOS 2.6 had that problem as well. It’s just odd because no other phone I used had that issue.

Wow, I’ve only met one man who uses NP (just then he switched from ace to deuce). I’m glad to have us here on the forum. 😀

How does NP1 serve you? I’m very satisfied, clean os, everything works smoothly, bugs here and there but mostly solved (I expected it, considering that it’s a new company).

For me, Phone (1) is excellent. No problems at all. Battery is good (i charge it 20-80% rule), cameras is pretty good, i bought camera rig (nd filter and tripod/gymbal) for it because i’m professional video maker for hobby, so when i go somewhere on a trip i like to record pro footage and than edit and watch on big 4k tv at home. Everything else is brilliant on a phone. I bought hard case for it, and glass screen protector. I bought the Phone (1) from “Kupujem prodajem” for 210€ back in December 2023. Phone is slightly used, just 100 charge cycles whits is around only 4-5 mouth of use. So i beasicly got a new phone. Now new Phone (1) cost 730€ 🤯, so i saves up a lot of money.

Anonymous268 Yeah this has been a problem from the start. Reported it multiple times, others as well. Has been discussed in this platform multiple times as well… But they won’t fix it, even though it’s an easily, small, fixable issue…

Stefan That’s a bargain! Good to hear it serves you so well. I also charge from 20 to 80 and it was a task to do it correctly until NOS 3 where they added charge limiter haha.

Stefan Overall it’s pretty good. Battery life is great, screen is bright enough and colors look nice, performance is good for all things I use phone for (I don’t play games), very snappy, glyphs are actually useful for me and I am very satisfied with camera video recording. Taking pictures is just alright.

What I don’t like are inaccurate location for weather app, rough volume settings, laggy quick settings Bluetooth and WiFi switches and the fact that phone is so huge. I used to own Samsung S9 and that phone size is just perfect. I know that it’s unpopular opinion. 😂

Glad to hear you are happy whit phone (2)!
I don’t know how people on this community have a lot of problems whit their phones, for me everything is just perfect. I have my Phone (1) since December 2023 and i don’t have a singe bug, everything is smooth and snappy. Also i don’t play games same as you, but keep in mind how is this phone optimised, i’m pretty sure gaming is not problem for it.
Same, cameras video recording in 4K 30fps is excellent.

If i can ask you, where did you bought your Phone (2) and for how much?

              Greetings from Belgrade Serbia 😃

Stefan Search for “Drago” on KP. It was 560€ for 256GB model at the time. He is reputable, sold S24 ultra to my friend as well. Probably the best guy to get Google Pixel from as well.

Thanks for information! I bought my Phone (1) from some guy on KP for crazy 210€ for 8/256gb model. Otherwise, in Serbia you can’t buy Nothing phones, only two options is KP or Yettel, but Yettel require to get their subscription which is may problem if you are in different mobile carrier. So the best option is KP.

                  a month later

                  Hi,

I have supported Nothing from the beginning and i like a lot about the design philosophy, but there is a problem that is driving me so crazy that I’m going to switch to another device if it doesn’t get fixed soon: Wildly inconsistent volume levels, especially between volume level 3 and 4. It makes it a pain for me to listen to anything with headphones (ear 2024), because volume level 3 is way too quiet, and volume level 4 is way too loud. And the weird thing is, when going from level 3 to 4, the volume achieves a level inbetween for a brief moment, but it is impossible to stay on that level. I know that you can disable absolute volume control in the developer settings, but that isn’t really a good solution, because then you have two separate volume levels on the headphones and the phone, which is annoying and impractical, and also the nothing ear and any other modern Bluetooth device was designed to work with absolute volume control. I think it’s just a horrible design choice or maybe even a mistake to make the volume levels so inconsistent, it just doesn’t make any sense at all. I have to go to such lengths just to listen to podcasts in the right volume for when I’m sleeping, that i use a podcast app that has a feature to adjust the volume level of every podcast manually, and i use the app only for that, even though the rest of the experience is horrible. And when i want to listen to anything else i have to set the equalizer in nothing x so that all the frequency bands are lower than normal, to reduce the volume, and that makes everything sound like crap. And it makes me almost not listen to music on my nothing ears anymore, because i either have the choice to deal with horrible eq settings or too high volume in a normal environment. The only time i listen to music now is when I’m in a loud environment. That’s just not gonna work for me for much longer. And through different community posts i know that i am not the only one with this issue. So I’m begging you, PLEASE fix this or i will have to say goodbye to Nothing for now.

Merged 1 post from the inconsistent volume levels in Nothing OS are driving me nuts.
Daniel changed the title to Inconsistent volume control levels .
