Installed on the nothing phone 1

No problems at all and stable, just a few missing widgets

Merged 2 posts from Everyone pay attention:Nothing OS 3.0..... .

I installed NOS 3.0 on my brand-new Phone (1), and it’s looking good and stable for me. I just realized one problem: Google Assistant doesn’t work with voice commands. I’m not sure if this is a general problem, but I really searched for a solution and couldn’t find solution. Can anyone help me?

P.S.: Before I installed NOS 3.0, I was using the latest NOS 2.6, and this problem was still there.

I didn’t have this problem before. My previous system was beta 3.0 in my phone 2.The system forces all icons to be black and white, but I still miss the old interface that was part black and part color. How can I set it up? 🙃

I have updated to Nothing OS 3.0 and I am impressed. But there is a problem. Some apps are not going over camera hole. For example, efootball mobile. Here is the picture.

Ok you are saying that nothing phone 1 will get nothing OS 3.0 with android 15 update on Jan 2025 ?Last time android 14 update was there at the promised time, why this postpone of update this time?

abejamephili Nothing (lol). It’s not a mobile phone anymore, it’s a portable phone. I don’t know how to sell this phone while knowing I’ll screw someone over

Where can I download a beta for my cmf phone?

Here it is. Also quick setting panelonly shows bluetooth battery and not the icon of my tws.

Yo, after this update, my glyph interface acting weird. I’ve earlier before the update set a few essentials for specific chats and set a glyph signal. Now it starts to blink even thos i have not gotten any notification, i swiped the notification and it stills blinking as in i’ve gotten a new message. Important to say is that i am currently charging (charge set to 80% limit) with the phone flipped down as well. I’ve checked settings and also restarted my phone, anyone know why the glyph interface acting like this?

I’ll update the info if it change when i charged it and unplug the charger or if it still occurs.

Update: It stopped blinking after i unplugged the charger. And i use the official Nothing charger, if that matters. I have also sent feedback to Nothing.

Sonixxone the problem lies in the “assistant charging” notification, when you plug your phone swipe that notification and it won’t blink anymore. This issue is present in the beta as well, don’t know why they haven’t fix this yet.

Fr4nKB Oh really, first time noticing it since the update. Hopefully they will fix it soon! Thank you for informing me about it

Coldpaw oh, my bad, I thought Nothing is different!

Atleast, please do not remove the option of installation of Nothing Gallery app from Play Store.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s a very good app, I would say must have app. But personally I prefer using single app for these basic functions. Rather than using two three identical apps for same usage.

I’ll have to stick with the Google gallery for now.

        Anyways, thanks for the reply!

          Its finally here….

So, start by commending the team for sticking to the published timelines!

I had a few issues with the Nothing OS that I flagged off through official channels when I bought the phone in March.

Out of those issues, the option to stop the battery charging at 80% was rolled out earlier.

This release takes care of the on demand AOD that allows me to use the AOD, but only when i want it.

But the issue of not being able to set up separate ringtones for the 2 SIMs is still missing. I am not sure why the developers cant get this right when its a very basic feature.

Its been a journey where I am over the honeymoon period with the attractions to the glyph interface fading off and me realizing that I don’t really use the feature. So then what is it that would make me buy another Nothing phone? I really cant see anything. With basic features like the one mentioned above still missing and the AOD still being b/w without much customization, I am starting to miss my earlier phone. Perhaps I am slowly gravitating to the earlier make/brand.

Nothing has made changes to its approach, by introducing an affordable 2a series. But even now without a bundled charger and case its an incomplete offering. Nothing has a distinct design identity but other than that what more to stand out?

There is a needs to have signature ringtones and wallpapers to identify the brand.

          I hope someone is reading!

Installed OS 3.0 public release today. Can’t help notice that 2 of the new lock screen clocks [Large Dots and Square Dots] have nothing to do with the OS aesthetics and look absolutely awful! These would be fine on a regular android but for something minimal like Nothing? Equally surprised how these made into a final build.

Hope Nothing stops adding design choices just for the sake of adding more options. We don’t need more.. we need consistency and heart in design. Which has been there so far up until now..
