Nothing Phone 1 - Several Performance Issues

Hello Nothing Team,

I am posting this thread as a complain to the devs and whoever is in charge! There are several problems I’m facing recently that needed to acknowledged! I recently updated my phone to the beta version and feeling like my phone is dying now!!

Phone got super slow like ram is collapsing or high refresh rate dropping to low refresh rate all the time
Phone charges usually slower than usual and battery draining usually high
Every single apps are loading too much
Games are crashing and sending me to the home straight after playing for 15/20 minutes
Not getting all the apps update and google play is very slow at updating apps
Camera quality got more trash than usual
Some apps are not working properly like Spotify, Snapchat, Facebook
Internet crashing or unable to connect most of the time whether I’m on data or wifi
All the default and third party Apps are auto running on the background but in previous version (2.6), I restricted most apps and they don’t run on background.

To the #devs #moderators , could y’all please look into this?

I’ve already did several feedbacks. My phone is Global version FYI. This is getting frustrating. I’m using Nothing Phone 1 since early 2022 and I had no complain whatsoever. Feeling like y’all trying to make this phone slow and kill this by new updates!! My user experience is not good at all and I request y’all whoever is in charge please look into this…this is very very FRUSTRATING…

I’ve got nothing phone 1 and had a similar thing on the internet saying Access denied for mainstream websites, how do we see when the general update is out because when I go to check for an update it comes up with an internet connection error

What I heard is that we are pretty screwed with the stable one as well

OviGarry ya they are just releasing updates in hurry I guess and main target is phone 1 users make buy phone 3 or 3a I am done with nothing os rest the phone has pretty good hardware nothing messed with optimisation form Android 14 update and this still continues

Oh yes, people in this forum. I paid for it, I want update and stuff. may be thats why. I want fast updates. I want it asap etc etc.
this is unfair omg. why others are getting update fast. I want it too. I guess 70% people wanted it.

Jay I know everyone wants updates asap but nothing should ignore it and focus on optimisation of software more than fast updates

Really disappointed with my Nothing Phone (1) too. I’m having constant trouble with my banking apps. They just sit there, stuck on the loading screen. It’s frustrating.

On top of that, the battery life seems to have taken a significant hit. It’s barely lasting through the day, even with moderate usage.

It’s a shame such a promising phone is being let down by these performance problems.

Nitish i thought it was related to my bank application. After entering the PIN, sometimes nothing happens 😔. Will test this on another phone.

Battery wise I don’t have any issues.

Even though I agree with some points of the topic I think the specific beta issues should be into the beta section, there’s an open topic made by nothing team where people including me, are giving feedback or complaining about this kind of issues. The beta performance is better in my experience than when It had 2.6, but it’s still a beta, problem will show up. And if you have those problems I strongly suggest to use the “tips and comments” section on the settings app of your np1 to post your complains, issues, logs, files etc. To help the devs to resolve those problems and help the community 🙂

Yes I’ve been doing that since I updated to beta version.

Whenever I face any problem I immediately do it.

Jay I know they got very high discrimination but that view of users can be changed by giving optimised update it will remove all the negativity

yeah, I Experienced the same issues and i cant perform some other task like screen casting and USB Tethering.

But I am eagerly waiting for the stable Update

Nothing Phone 1 - There are no more or fewer problems than with other models. Sometimes, it seems like there are even fewer.

For my part, I got the update at the end of December, and since then, I haven’t encountered ANY problems on my Nothing 1…everything is fluid, the battery is holding as well as before. I would like to point out that I am French…
