MBps Vs mbps
Jio 5.5G support
Yes we are discussing about Mbps only. 1MBps would be proportional to 8 Mbps
arpan2308 Bro first of all none of the current Nothing phone has the ability to bring in 6g currently(which means Nothing phones Don’t have 6g supporing hardware). But Nothing phones with the 3CC technology is capable of supporting the new jio 5.5G network which gives more better speed compared to the current 5G.With all respect, I don’t get the reason that you don’t want the feature.
But from my searches only the processor Snapdragon 8+ gen 1 which is used in Nothing phone 2 support 3CC. So yeah let the team decide if they should give the feature or not. But as a user I request you that if you don’t want a feature please don’t say that is not required. Because there might many people out there who are waiting to support such features.
y’all having unlimited 5G?
Anonymous297 here in the UK, yes. I have a slightly more expensive plan as I travel/call internationally a lot.
Unlimited 5G, £2/day around the EU, £5/day US. I also have unlimited calling to the US.
Runs around £8/mo for the unlimited 5G and £8/mo for unlimited calling to the US.

Anonymous297 Bro unlimited data doesn’t have anything to do with the speed . But 5.5G can make the unlimited data more convenient for the users with better speed.
BassimBinYoosaf here, UK, after we reach a certain data usage, a cap is imposed.
BassimBinYoosaf I mean if you get 100mb speed , and you have limit of 5gb per day. how long you would be using that data? and that unlimited data isnt a forever thing. its gonna end soon. y’all really thought you have 5g and you get unlimited data? thats the same thing when jio came to market and gave free data.
and it matters how much data you can use per day. take it as 100lit tank. you have 2 inch piped tap. which is 4g. and you want more faster flow which needs 10 inch pipe tap. how long is that gonna last?
AND yes. data usage has everything to do with speed. y’all end up blowing in 1 hour or so.
I am on unlimited 5G too . my data usage per month average is like 200 gb.
now if I didnt have the unlimited data but same speed.
this is mobile data we talking about not wifi. that is always unlimited. even wifi is capped , at 3tb or 2tb per month.
BassimBinYoosaf exactly

Bro you can use the highest speed network until the data gets slow firstly. And secondly even if you get 5G support or 5.5G both it will get slow after a certain limit then why not the best.It is just going to get slow not going to finish as it is unlimited data.
It doesn’t make any major difference I think.

CrisONViper I personally uses the plan 2.5gb per day which gives me a total of 175 gb of unlimited data. Which is very much enough for any user for 70days. And it is not fully used most of the time. So if it is 5.5G I guess it doesn’t even change anything and the users can use a high speed data also. Also there is a possibility that they increase the data limit as they increased the network speed.
BassimBinYoosaf 2gb will be blown in 1 hour on 5.5g
i dont think people will want it.

Anonymous297 Then manually set it to 4G. In that way it would be less speed and there will be no panic of data loss. Plus there is an in built option for setting up data limit in android to a certain amount. Per day. U can use it if u think using 5g data would be finished soon.
Options are already available to reduce the speed. I don’t understand why we are discussing to not get a feature. Using it or not should be the choice of the user.
I can understand that u think using 5g it would quickly finish ur data. The answer is simple. Use ur same data in 4G mode. Use 5G only when required
And jio has still not launched their 5g plans. So in future they would be much more than 2-3 gb and prices would be high. Minimum 6-7gb per day would be required for their plans as per the rumours. So no need to panic for 5g data loss

Bro please understand that I’m not speaking about the 2.5 gb I’m speaking about my package to give you an example which is that as I am using a 2.5 gb for 70 days package it will get a data limit of 175 gb according my search results which is more than enough. And 70 % of people don’t even complete these which means if it is 5G or 5.5G you can use it properly. And there is a possibility that this 175Gb which is current data limit according to my example may also increase in the future as new technology came.

BassimBinYoosaf Now That is a reality actually we don’t think often. Most of the time the data gets wasted.

AlexMrngstr69 are you ok? who said jio doesn thave 5G plans? are you still in 2023? I dont even care much about data usage since I am on unlimited 5G.
@BassimBinYoosaf , 175 is total cap mate. daily cap is for 2.5 GB.
pls understand 175 is not daily cap. and just coz others dont blow up whole data doesnt mean it will come add up in ur limit. not everyone is on 5g.
Anonymous297 bro seems like you don’t understand what you are saying .Do some research before you keep ur points. Currently there are unlimited 5g plans. Not actual 5g plans. Unlimited 5g will stop soon for Jio.
And I am not in 2023. Seems like ur r stuck in 2024. It’s 2025

AlexMrngstr69 so according to you unlimited 5g and actual 5g is diff?
is it like jio is selling unlimited 5g under name of super fast 4g?
if this all is not 5g?
Anonymous297 Yya bro that is exactly my question who completes 175 gb data in 70 days. Only 30 to 20% users maximum will complete it. Rest of the data is waste. So why not 5.5G.Also there is a possibility to increase data limit when no of users starts to increase.
