Nothing Ear (open) Case/Battery Feedback

Bought a pair of these amazing open ear buds and they were amazing!

I´m saying they were, because I had to send them for warranty.

My issue was that the case won´t hold its charge. One of the times I woke up and checked the battery, 100% on both earpieces and 80% on the case, ok. After a 40 minute drive for work, I went to use them and the case were at 40%????

This type of situations made them unusable because the case battery randomly died and the buds won´t turn on when opening the lid.

Has anyone experienced these issue, was it fixed with some firmware update? I got a refund and I really want to buy a new pair.

I am having a somewhat similar experience.
For me, the CASE is charging-up to 100%. But, the earbuds are not charging-up at all.
My Nothing Ear (open) set is new. The charging contacts are very clean. The earbuds are well-seated in the case.
No difference, whether the USB cable is connected, or not connected. I use this USB cable to charge other devices, and it works perfectly. I, also, am planning to return these Nothing Ear (open)… even though I like them a lot in every other way. 👎️

SlitherGash I´ve returned my pair, still waiting for the refund.

But the issues I´ve read plus the one I had with these, makes me wonder if I really should buy another pair.

The thing is that they´re not cheap at all! Plus I really wanted needed a good pair of open earbuds….

A quick update:

Got refunded and got a good deal on a different store last week, I wanted to give this equipment and the brand a second chance so bought another pair.

So far so good, they came fully charged, as the old ones came with the case´s battery dead.

The old ones had a firmware update as the new ones did not.

I believe that we got very unlucky and we bought equipment that came in a batch with some faulty equipment, so the warranty is there to be used!
