Password to switch off the mobile
Bruh its already been an year since this was posted and yet there is no follow up on this or any updates regarding the same. This is such a major issue which requires immediate attention.
I am still not able to get my device just because the person who have stolen it has turned it off here is my complaint copy attached.
ManoharJanardhan you can get back but it will take time just keep patience. Whoever had stolen your phone he will try to put sim card and open any day. And police officer will track them . Similar incident happened with my friend he got his phone after 10 month so you can get the idea.75% chance is you will get back

Purav thanks for the hope Purav, but the phone was my primary phone which I used on daily day to day activities and still some of my applications are not letting me to sign in and access, it is just saying to login from the device logged in earlier. I have few documents and evidences related to a critical cases which were in going.

ManoharJanardhan I can understand . Try to deactivate the sim card(stolen one) and activate again on same number then login by otp sms verification. Sadly you have to purchase another phone for temporary time
Purav I have deactivated the sims and have also took the duplicate sims but still the OTP options is not working for few of my account. And yet to purchase a new phone for a temporary use as my financial condition is not that stable currently.
ManoharJanardhan bro you can take just normal phone In budget and for application use you can use your family member phone for some time. It’s really sad to hear the situation
Frost_ yes bro I’m currently using my mom’s phone or else I will not be able to work.
ManoharJanardhan bro it will be easyily found if you have the IMEI number right don’t you know it?
BassimBinYoosaf he said that the theif switched of the phone
Frost_ ooh ic
BassimBinYoosaf bro I have it, so only I was able to raise a complaint in the nearest police station.
ManoharJanardhan that’s soo sad. Hope you get your phone soon
ahm this is bit different because not all users would want to enter pasword/pin etc just to restart or turn off the phone. theres app on playstore you can use it till nothing adds this as a feature in future.
Dear nothing team
plz implement password when switch off mobile…
nova But anyone can still turn off the phone. This is just an extremely poorly designed mess.
Security is hilarious.
If I add a quick widget pointing to a calculator on the lockscreen, it asks me to unlock the phone to open the calculator. But I can turn off the phone without providing any credentials.
Haven’t ever used such a phone with improperly implemented security protocols.
But after investing so much money, now I am stuck. So I actively tell people to look at other phones.
