SamarthNP1 The problem I face is when I charge it to 90 then it drains by 7 percent in half an hour and then drains by 10 to 12 percent in an hour. Anyways I will update after few days.

OngTzeSean explain clearly at night it turns out you don’t use it and the charge is arbitrarily consumed by 10%? Without using it? If so, then this is not normal, the norm is 3-5% overnight without using it!

Orion_7u-op that a software issue on all phone I recommend to charge to 90% and record the battery drain per hr and then charge to 100 and then record you will see that on charging to 100% battery drain is lower than charging to 90%

Anonymous407 yes I didn’t use it, just put it aside at night. It might be too new, hope that after a week or two the synchronization process completed it will back to normal.

charge drains so quickly… I have to charge my 3a twice a day… 1 hour of playing games drains about 15-20% of charge… even without playing a game, just clicking some photos and browsing also drains so much battery.

Does anyone think that the power button of this phone is wobbly and not very sturdy like it’s volume buttons.

My Nothing phone 3a is unusualy draining battery . I just watch YouTube for 1 hr 28 min and has already lost 49 percent . Is there any solutions 🥹

I don’t have any battery issues with my 3a Pro.

I just got my phone a couple off days ago and the battery drains rather quick, I can see in battery consumption that Spotify takes a lot of power, i do use Spotify a lot, but don’t think it should take as much of the battery as it does, especially with as big a battery this has

"Thank you for reaching out to Nothing Customer Support and sharing your experience with the Nothing Phone (3a). We’re thrilled to hear that you’re enjoying the device overall, and we’re here to assist with the battery drain issue you’ve been encountering.

Based on your description, it seems like your usage pattern is moderate, so the rapid battery drain you’re experiencing is unusual. Here are some steps you can try to optimize battery performance:

        1. Background Apps: Ensure that unnecessary apps are not running in the background. You can manually close apps or use the “Force Stop” option in Settings > Apps.

        2. Glyph Lighting: The Glyph interface can consume significant battery power. If enabled, consider turning it off by navigating to Settings > Glyph Interface and disabling Glyph Lights.

        3. Always-On Display: If this feature is active, it can contribute to battery drain. Disable it by going to Settings > Display > Always-On Display.

        4. Screen Timeout: Adjust screen timeout settings to a shorter duration (e.g., 15 seconds or 30 seconds) under Settings > Display > Screen Timeout.

        5. Network Mode: Using 5G can be more power-intensive than 4G. If you’re not reliant on high-speed data, switch to 4G by going to Settings > Network & Internet > SIM > Preferred Network Type.

        6. Battery Saver Mode: Activate Battery Saver mode under Settings > Battery > Battery Saver to minimize power consumption during regular use.

Regarding battery calibration, while it might help recalibrate the battery readings, it’s not guaranteed to resolve fast-draining issues. To perform calibration, you can fully charge your phone to 100%, use it until it completely discharges, then recharge it fully again without interruptions.

Additionally, as you mentioned starting usage on March 27th, it’s possible the phone is still adapting to your usage patterns. Lithium-ion batteries generally stabilize after a few charge cycles, so improvements may naturally occur over time.

If these steps don’t resolve the issue or if the problem persists beyond a few weeks of regular use, please don’t hesitate to contact us again.

imo only 1,3 and 5 sound reasonable to me and why shouldn’t I use the glyphs which is nothing’s signature somehow or use battery saving mode while there’s a gicantic 5000 mAh battery in my phone?
I hope it gets better over time otherwise there was no point switching from my old phone because of battery.
