While I like what Nothing OS does with Dark Mode, Id love an option for a full black, not just the dark grey, with the Nothing icon pack updated to match. I think itd be a really stark theme, and super on brand for nothing, since black is one of their core colors.

I would love to see:

  • A switch to disable/enable Vibration during unlocking.
  • A switch to disable/enable Vibration duringflip to glyph.
  • Ability to Pin apps in the TABS
  • A Clear All button under (close or instead of the screenshot button currently in place) the app tabs menu instead of all the way left.
  • View Gallery as a list with a small thumbnail
  • Slide finger to select more than one picture after long pressing the first one. Right now we have to tap each pictures once, it can take a while to manage and sort photos.
  • Nothing Skinned Dialer and contact, Calendar, Calculator, Text Message (And all basic functions in general)
  • Ability to put the calculator inside of a folder
  • Ability to create subfolder at least one level
  • different one handed mode. In addition to the existing squaring the screen mode: have a shrink (Ie Full Screen showing but smaller down in one corner) to left/right corner by swiping across the bottom of the screen left or right.
  • Locking the secret app drawer.
  • Ability to hide the secret app drawer behind a reverse pinch gesture (expand the two fingers like a zoom)
  • open the customize menu by pinching with two fingers on the main screen.

      What about AI tools.. I have nothing phone 2 and it’s great phone but in 2025 the ai tools is Necessary..

      I have been using Nothing 2a from 1st Jan 2025, and here are the essential features I feel missing.

      1. Manul camera control to adjust ISO, shutter speed.
      2. Feature to view devices connected in hotspot.
      3. Feature to blocklist devices in hotspot.
      4. Numpad in call menu even before call answered.
      5. Macro mode in camera.
      6. Document mode in camera.

      Additional features which could make the OS feel better.

      1. Apple like profile feature, like personal, work.

      I bought nothing phone 2a plus for my mother, first nothing product back in August 2024. I’m not a regular user of this but some things I want to discuss that could have been better:

      1. Low brightness isn’t that kind of low which I used to see in my Samsung device (Samsung A55). It was pretty much low or I should say fair enough when I bought this phone maybe till September or October security update in last year.

      2. Dark mode implementation isn’t decent enough. It’s not dark anywhere I must say it’s greyish black.

      3. I heard that nothing has great records in terms of software update but it’s still running on December security patch as of Feb 14.

      4. One of the major issue I noticed that is in lock screen widgets. When you have dark mode on with some lockscreen widgets; entire wallpaper is covered by some kind of greenish tone and weird reddish pixels are clearly visible on the widgets.

        As I said earlier, I’m not a regular user of this phone but I must say these things could have been implemented carefully. It’s clearly visible and looking weird

        Sayan_Acharyya i think you are now to the comunity, nothing lags in terms of updates… no security patches release every month …samsung , one plus and vivo are better in this aspects.

        Lot many open bugs unaddressed especially with nothing 2a plus really worried that the last device released was 2a plus but still all updates and security patches reaching very late to the users.

        Also im not recommending nothing to anyone as a primary device only enthusiasts who want to try nothing os just for widgets can try …

          Hey i want to more privacy when we talk about app lock, is it possible for nothing team to seperate app lock password from device lock password. It is very easy for anyone to unlock all the files by main lovk password.

            Hey Guys, I think the navigating bar isn’t very buty, so I use it hidin. But can we pleas have a option to just hide it in specific apps, because in some apps like signal, earth or weather it looks nice, but in maps or Firefox or on the home screen it just very ugly and I like to hide it . The second thing is that it needs screen space that we could need in a different way, specific in quer Format

            An ather thing is that I use many unpopular open source apps that are very nice but don’t supported in the icon pack, so I suggest a ai based nothing-style- icon-generator witch runns on your phone and you can chat with it and let it try unlimited times, if you have a good solution, there will be a option to share it with the nothing teem that Will add it to the next update of the existing icon pack so this will grow very fast.

            I would really like a absolute dark mode too, be cause it’s better battery life and it’s also very nothing, but what I really hate that on my CMF it switch many times a day to lite mode, why we can’t set standards in the case that it will always return.

            But awesome is jet, really like it!

              Pls implement the connections of no of devices and set limit devices in hotspot settings

              I switched from Realme to Nothing. The only major issue I am facing is that now I cannot see who all are connected to my hotspot and the ability to remove them or block them from my hotspot. It is a feature which is the “major missing” for me and I didn’t see a lot of people talk about it. Idk why!!? I wish it to be added by the next update.

              where is switch camera to front and back toggle while recording video ?

              nothing missing some really good features and sticking to very basic phone.

              I believe in smart features need to be set up like double tab back panel to take screenshot and giving options to choose ai … for example I like copilot more than Gemini or chat gpt

              and I like samsung mail app more than gmail … need some of the good apps

                Need change the day and date Font in the lock screen .that is so boring

                Also the colour of time . When the bg colour is white the time can’t see properly
