Nothing OS Wishlist Megathread | Session 2025
I was thinking about a new feature that could really be a game-changer for Nothing OS. Iād like to have the ability to save and switch between presets for apps, wallpapers, and widgets. This way, I could create multiple presets with different app layouts and switch between them quickly. Iām not sure if this is already an option or if someone has already suggested it, but let me know what you think about it.
Thereās a major animation rework needed for the whole UI as per the new OS standards.

Maybe do something with animations. Also we need dynamic island features, like OnePlus and Apple

* Camera App: Iād love the ability to record directly to an external hard drive from the default camera app without needing a separate pro app.
* AI Assistant: I know that this is one is probably not going to happen but anywaysā¦ Iām a big fan of ChatGPTās conversational abilities, but I find it less integrated with my home devices and overal functionality compared to Gemini. Iād love to see an AI assistant that combines the best of both worlds: Geminiās home control and routines with ChatGPTās personalized and helpful conversational style. It would be soo cool if you guys can make a customizable AI that can control settings, look at the calendar, do routines and control devices.
* Calendar Widget: A timeline widget that visually displays my schedule with a ācurrent timeā indicator would be incredibly helpful for managing my busy day.

PulkitGhorse absolutely, great recommendations which if implemented would just level up the overall experience of NOS.
Spike I really like Nothing OS 3.0, but I wish there was one more feature. I wish there was a native automation feature like Samsung Routines. I usually used location-based automation for home - work - driving - work, but Nothing OS doesnāt have this feature, which is a bit disappointing. Do you think this feature will be added someday? 
Disable quick settings pulldown when screen is locked.
Add auto brightness toggle in quick settings.

Requesting Sidebar feature in the next update for quick app access in pop up window. We can do the same now but we need to exit from the current app to do so. So I am requesting you to introduce side bar feature like in realme x7 pro 5g.
Iād love to have the homescreen wallpaper change by selecting which wallpaper i want to choose for the day between the selected wallpaper just like iphone , and I am very greatful that I made a decision to buy a nothing phone itās great!!!
PulkitGhorse Nice work summarising most of the issue.
A flagship level device shouldnāt be lagging in normal tasks at least and LTPO display why stick to 60hz when video calling. It feels so much laggy and budget device at that time.

You can already disable Quick Settings on Lockscreen in Settings->Lock Screen-> Quick Settings toggle

Maybe creating health app for nothing app for running, blood pressure, blood glucose for people with diabetes like me. 3 party connections with libre of other apps. And connections with the cmf watch
