Nothing OS 2.5 is our most significant update since the launch of OS 2.0. Packed with exciting new features to make your smartphone experience as efficient and personal as possible.
To deliver the most perfected update yet, we’re in the process of Beta testing on Phone (2). Open Beta 2 is your chance to get early access to our newest improvements. Plus an exclusive preview of Android 14. In addition to what we shared in the previous phase of our Beta programme, this update includes:
Glyph Interface:
Glyph Progress integration for Google Calendar. Keep track of your upcoming events with a 5-minute countdown via the Glyph Interface.
Glyph Timer now supports time presets, allowing you to quickly set your desired duration.
Glyph Timer can now be opened directly from the lock screen without unlocking.
Added an option to open the Glyph Timer pop-up window by tapping instead of holding. This also works with the Quick Settings widget.
Added a new Glyph animation when NFC is used.
Other improvements:
Predictive Back is now supported on all Nothing apps.
Added more options for the double-press power button gesture.
Improved the reliability of the three-finger swipe gesture.
Updated several status bar icons.
Many other minor UI improvements.
General bug fixes.
⚠️ Disclaimer: Since this is a Beta version, there’s a very small chance the test software may interfere with your data and require a factory reset. In this instance, your data will be lost. We strongly recommend backing up all your data before accessing the software.
Installing from OBT 1:
- Head to Settings > System > System Update
Installing from stable builds:
Download our Beta installer. Grab the APK here and install from your downloads folder.
Navigate to Settings > System > Update to Beta version.
Tap ‘Check for New Version’ and follow the steps to get started.

Rollback from OBT 2:
⚠️ Backup all your data as the rollback will result in a factory reset. All unsaved data will be lost.
Download the rollback package for Nothing OS 2.0.4**.**
Create “ota” folder under “Internal Storage”
Place the rollback package zip under “ota” folder
Navigate to Settings > System > Update to Beta version.
Tap ‘Import file’ and select the previously downloaded package.
Follow the steps to carry through with the rollback.
(You may need to create a folder called ‘Documents’ within Internal Storage if you experience an error when trying to install/rollback)
