Users can now easily toggle Wi-Fi, and airplane mode from the lock screen, which may increase the risk of unauthorized use. It’s better to disable access from the lock screen.

Hell NO! Most people complained to have those functions available on Android without unlocking their phones.

People whining about security has done nothing but ruin the experience. Now every time you install something you get a ton of popups asking you if you want to allow certain things or not, so damn annoying.

I believe there may have been a misunderstanding. My request was to disable access from the lock screen. My concern is that if my phone were to be stolen, the thief could use the NFC for payment and even turn off the internet connection or put the phone into flight mode without needing a password.

i cant find on how to disable it. its annoying that someone can swipe down and access it when your phone is locked. hopefully an update for this soon.

I think it could be an easy fix. It doesn’t have to stop you from pulling down the tab, just ask for password if you want to toggle anything .

Paying from phone is maybe easy, but include security risk.

Credit card is not that dangerous.

      Cash is a different story.

I’m quite new to the Nothing Phone 2 now and I’m still setting up my device. Unlike on my old android, there seems to be no option to disable the quick settings on a locked lockscreen, right?

I just moved to Nothing (2) and here I am facing an issue that while my phone is locked, anyone can easily toggle flight mode or turn off data. It seems very unsafe in case of lost/theft phone. I couldn’t find any method to disable it.

        Can anyone help with that?

Avoiding power off option in lock screen should be avoided along with access to other settings features like aeroplane mode and others

SaswatSaidutta yes i’m agree and please report it here so the team see it : settings > systems > feedbacks

My device is shutting down even in lockscreen. So there are chances a thief can power off my device and steal it. So please add a feature in update that it should ask password or fingerprint before shutting down in lockscreen. And also it should ask password or fingerprint for accessing airplane mode, turning off mobile data from lockscreen. Please fix you can use Motorola phone to watch the feature as demo. I request you to add this feature asap. My name is Sanjay. I am from Bangalore signing off. My device is nothing phone 2

I know what feature you are talking about and I also lack this feature according to me it’s feature which every brand should have by default.

Sanjay_V In that case, Lock Screen widgets would be nullified, every time If you had to unlock your screen to turn off/ on mobile data or Bluetooth.

But regarding power off, I guess yeah that should add a fingerprint to prevent misuse or theft.

Ch4n959 atleast should add the option to enable these features. Some people may don’t like it so add feature to enable it as toggle in update.people like me can make use of it
