Please help!! I am having a lot of Crash Dump on my PH2 lately. I have noticed that it happens when i am on call in a moving car. Few times i was on call using car’s Bluetooth and it crashed and few times it has happened without been connected to to Bluetooth.
Crash Dump Mode - Phone 2
I never had serious problems with the phone like you describe, but the quality of the camera is similar to cameras on on phones costing less than half. The only thing on the phone that is correct with the price of it : the display. Software from Nothing is really poor.
How many reasons do we need in order to not choose Nothing for our next phone?
Just now same thing happened to my phone also.
I recently bought a phone about 2 months ago, and today it suddenly powered off, displaying a message saying ‘crash dump mode’ and it won’t power on. I tried rebooting the phone by pressing the power up and power buttons, but it only displays the Android logo with no command prompt. I’m really worried about what could be the reason behind this. I didn’t do anything; I was just busy with my work, and I suddenly looked into my phone, and this happened. Can anyone please explain what’s wrong with my device
SairamchanduDadala Hey,
normally your phone should reboot after collecting the reason for the crash. Please contact the support via https://nothing.tech/pages/contact-support if it doesn’t boot at all or use the built in feedback form via Settings, select System, and then choose Feedback.

Kastello Normally it should have a reason. But as you can see from the screenshots above, there is no reset reason. So the phone stays in crash dump mode for many hours. If I don’t manually reset it, it will stay like this for a whole day. My device is now crashing every night pretty consistently. It crashed last night again. Usually around 3-4am in the middle of the night so I will only notice when I wake up. Due to the crash, I have missed my alarms and woken up late for work. I just updated to NOS 2.5.5 so will see if it crashes tonight.
There is no support centre in my country (NZ) and the authorised retailer I bought it from does not have any more stock to replace, so I will probably just get a refund and I buy another more reliable brand. Very unfortunate as I am a big fan and had high hopes for this product but this is such a let down.
wibian Did you try to contact the nothing support via https://nothing.tech/pages/contact-support ?

Today morning my phone 2 also went into Crash Dump mode for the first time in 9 months. Last week I got my screen replaced at official service centre and they flashed the software.
my nothing phone 2 also went to crash dump mode what to do its not getting turned on
I bought my first Nothing phone yesterday evening. Got it at 5pm. Was excited to move to nothing from 1Plush 9R.
During set up, the phone crashed and rebooted more than 20 times. Called customer service and it restated twice bang in the middle of the call, so had to speak with ¾ different reps repeating my situation.
Between all this i managed to update to the latest software version. No luck. It kept happening. (Factory rest twice and also set up the process without an OTG cable as well, no luck).
Spent the entire evening searching about the issue and hassle. No excitement of a new phone. It’s such a shame when the phone is really nice and OS is supposed to be simple and smooth.
Anyway, I’m back to my 3 yrs old OnePlus 9R. Except for the battery, this phone is still as good as new (oh I do have the green line, but have learnt to live with it).
I’m definitely replacing my Np2. But should I actually go refund? Looks like a fairly common issue with speculation related Software and some say hardware (wifi modem, motherboard and what not).
I like what nothing is doing, but I’m looking for a phone that really is dependable! NP 2 hasn’t been that all in the last few hrs
Let me know your thoughts.
Pls let me know!
They (customer care) will not give give any response.worst customer care and worst service.
Good evening, same fe problems from crashdump. I contacted support, it was sent to central Poland . They replaced the motherboard but when they came back they still had the same problem. For me this happens when I have my car connected to Android Auto. After complaining to support, they completely replaced the phone.Back to Poland again 3 weeks examining the old one before sending me another phone. And today, crashdump again on the new phone. What to do with a phone under warranty that crashes? Would you as much buy a phone for 109 euros as one for 700 euros? I feel helpless when faced with a problem that doesn’t seem to be resolved.
My Phone today automatically went to crash dump mode. I am using OS 2.5.5 updated last April anyone has any idea about this problem
