The bass is still not working on my side either…
It's just pure theory/movie, but maybe after — or even before — the 74, they were already quite advanced with the personal sound, and that’s what kept the team stuck with the bass issue.
If the personal sound actually changes the behavior of the sound, maybe it’s better to first have a working version of it.
They might have told themselves, “If we fix the bass and the personal sound starts crackling again, then we’re back to zero with a new bass problem…”
