Hey everyone,

I’m facing a serious issue with the default camera app after installing the latest Nothing OS 4 stable update on my Nothing Phone 3a (Android 16).

Problem:

The default camera app opens but stays completely black.

No preview at all — just a black screen.

Snapchat/Instagram camera works fine, so the hardware itself seems okay.

I’ve never used GCam or any modded camera apps before.

Clearing cache/data didn’t help, and even a factory reset didn’t fix it.

Nothing OS 4 (Stable)

Android 16

Stock camera only

Is anyone else facing this after the update?

Any temporary fixes or official responses from the team would be really appreciated.

Feels like something broke with the camera service after the update.

When scrolling, swiping between recent apps i face some jitter. It doesn’t happen all the time.

So I was just fooling around with the settings on the new nothing 4.0 on my 3a. I think I clicked on or opened some accessibility setting. Since then, the volume rocker now has an additional indication for the accessibility UI.

This doesn’t seem to Go away. Everything is turned off on accessibility end. tried turning talkback etc on off as well and volume control also doesn’t have anything. Tried restarting too, no solution.

Letting everyone know. Please do suggest if you have any idea how to get rid of it, thanks!

Big in stable in NOS 4.0

I am not sure whether this a new design of old one or a bug In lock screen , especially this clock style one is bold style and the other looks as light one which is especially harder to see in daylight i didn’t face this problem before OS 4.0

Even turning on extra dark mode the volume slider looks same as greyish tone as before seen OS 3.2 ,you can see difference in control centre and volume slider side by side

I am just got disappointed because of bugs even in stable,fine in beta but??

I’m not asking for big redesigns — just a simple and useful feature: daily mobile data usage.

Right now I’m forced to change my mobile data cycle to today’s date just to monitor my daily usage. This is something that should be available by default.

Whenever we ask for genuinely helpful features, it feels like those requests are ignored, while less-useful features like Glimpses keep getting priority.

I think it’s time we create a poll to see how many wishlist features from the mega thread have actually been delivered to users. It’ll help us understand what the community really wants and how feature requests are being handled.

I just want to say that my battery seems to be so much better since I updated to 4.0 (3a)

I really hope that Nothing won’t kill my battery in newer update.

Before the update my lockscreen number was actually fully black but now after the update it became grey and not fully black. Does anyone know how to fix this?

After updating os4.0 in my nothing 3a today ,I’m facing battery dropping issue and it taking more time to charge and it dropping battery immediately
