I’m reporting a major issue after installing the latest Nothing OS 4.0 stable update on my Nothing 2a Plus.
Since updating, my phone is facing severe and sudden battery drain, even with:
Normal usage
No heavy apps running
Adaptive battery ON
Clean cache + optimized apps
The drain is so bad that I lose 20–30% in standby and the phone heats up occasionally without active use.
This wasn’t happening before the 4.0 update at all.
I’m requesting the concerned team to please look into this urgently and confirm if:
1. This is a known issue with the 4.0 update
2. A hotfix or patch is being planned
3. Any temporary workaround exists
I really like the device, but this update has made daily usage difficult.
Please escalate this to the software/update team.

PS:- NOTE : This is also when i keep all my system settings to consume the least power i.e :
Dark Mode always on
Night light always on
Brightness low
Apps optimised
No apps running in background
Location services off
Bluetooth off
Low refresh rate
hdr screen off
Etc etc etc
