The Nothing brand guidelines reference

Hey everyone! As many of you know, we're lucky enough to have lots of talented developers and designers in our community, who help bring us apps and projects that enhance our Nothing product experiences. Yet, despite the community asking for official brand guidelines for years, Nothing doesn't have any easily referenceable guidelines for developers to access ad-hoc. That's a bit of a mouthful, but here's what it covers: ## Brand colour palette Covering core colours + alternatives seen in various applications. ![](https://cdn.nothing.community/2026-07-20/1784538194-68374-wiki-brand-reference2.png "banner") ## Typography & fonts Their typography guidelines (such as sizing, leading, tracking and cases), with example usages. I haven't pulled this information out of thin air, or made it up - it's based on official brand guidelines documents which have been released as part of community campaigns. These 100+ documents can be overwhelming to some, so this quick-reference serves as a simple solution to refer to while your main focus stays on building your project. This will be kept up to date as more guidelines are released or evolve over time, and this thread will serve as a changelog too. Tor Totally agree! Best case is for Nothing to develop their own guidelines that’s more focused on community creators and is kept up to date. If that ever happens, I’ll be happy to redirect to it! But I hope that this serves as a good interim solution.

Til then, I’ll be reviewing any material Nothing release in future (e.g. during community campaigns like the Community Edition) to check if guidance has changed and if any of the guidelines I’ve written need updating. But a lot of it is now core to the brand - the colours, the typography and logotypes - which are quite unlikely to change any time soon

I have been looking for something like this for my NTape music player app. I was actually falling back to Noto Serif custonized to look like NType82 and i think it’s close but not quite. Does NType82 support any non-english characters?

Here is how NType82 and Noto look together (NType on the header, only used if the UI is in English) if anyone else needs a similar font with multiple language support you can look into Noto Serif family.

I also realized i need to drop the capitalization for setting names, will update that in the next version. I still don’t get why this isn’t standardized, in Android it is inconsistent as well.

CelestialColosseum Does NType82 support any non-english characters?

Just did a quick test with some common characters, looks like it supports a lot, but not all:

adbo Yeah i was experiencing this with some letters like Ş/ş, Ğ/ğ etc. as seen as in your example. However, in the Nothing X app i see the characters are displayed correctly. Are there multiple versions?

CelestialColosseum I’ve just checked using a font inspector and it does seem that these characters are supported actually! Only the last two letters in my original image weren’t supported. It may just be a rendering issue for certain programs 🤔

adbo I have downloaded a fond style from this website, and how to apply it to my device like there is no way to upload it to our nothing phone so how can we apply it 🙂

Jozf Benestin🇮🇳 unfortunately there’s no native way to add additional system fonts in Nothing OS currently. See the likes of:

adbo yeah I know that there is no native way to apply third party fonts that we I asked. I hope nothing OS 5.0 will bring the 3rd party font sideloading 🙂🙌🏼

Idkkk I hope Nothing will take advantage of the magnificent effort made by this guy so as to benefit the community. Plus acknowledge what he has achieved here. I’d feel bad if this precious resource isn’t given its much deserved attention.
