NothingOS 2.5.3 update delay for Phone (2)
They just posted on their Twitter that the 2.5.3 update is available for the Phone (2) and will be slowly rolling out to devices.

Do you think they need more than a year to find out that the software to the camera is way off with all the people complaining about it?
Would be nice if they did; likely they do not have the personnel that can do it, or they woud have done it.
Yes remember the Note 7, have had some of the notes (good phones) but luckily not the 7. Never used the pen much though.

We aren’t privy to what is happening in the Nothing offices, but I guess lots of effort is going into stabilizing 2a and developing 3, which may be the reason 2 users are having to wait. Who knows. I want the latest stuff as much as you do, but I don’t have any real issues with my phone apart from camera quality. But I think part of that is my perception after coming from the Galaxy Note 9. If as someone else pointed out, many more months pass by without the fixes some users need on their phones, then we can assume we have been abandoned, but honestly ? I can’t see that happening, it would be too damaging to a fairly new companys reputation.
I believe they are not capable to write camera software.
But would be nice if they did come with a camera update to fix the flaws.
Some have problems with battery (I do not, use the phone only a little) but that would be an easy fix limiting the phone to charge above 85% of full would make battery last longer.
Was once told by somebody with knowledge: do not start a new project before you have finished the old.

svetloslav Dude…you compare how people react against goverments (which take decisions that affect your life) and how they react to a smartphone company.
Stakes are not the same….nothing wont change your life if they give you a new update right now.
Begging for a smartphone update is not a resistance against the “wheels of power”.
svetloslav In our case here with NP2, we could only get a “marginal” benefit if they would fix the battery and the camera. That’s it. The rest is useless. As you can see they refuse to fix precisely those 2 things.
While you are right in much of what you wrote there, I believe that the camera is one of the most important things in a phone and often a reason to get a new phone like it is for me. I do not use the phone for gaming or watching movies as the monitor is far too tiny for such things, I use the phone for communicating and taking pictures, so fixing the camera would be good for me, though I already have decided to buy another phone. Next owner would benefit.
As written before I do not think they are interested in fixing the phone as they would than have asked SONY for help or hired someone capable, though that might be expensive.
Have no problem with battery as not using the phone much.
And I do not remember having made excuses for the Nothing company. I do not like the way they do things and doubt they will stay in the market for phones more expensive than the throw away after use ones, meaning really budget.
Nothing team ur launching new products and concepts which is good infact excellent but u have to focus about ur present time as in present phone 1 and 2 then u should be considering including other things

Nothing is going super budget. Trying to survive. They are not competent to be in middle class and they never have been in flagship department; with the staff they have they never will get there.
All they have that can appeal to a niche part of phone buyers is the glyph so Nothing’s part of the phone market will be steadily getting smaller.
Compare the Nothing flagship with a cheaper Samsung mid range

If a factory reset (setting the phone back to where it was when you bought it before “up-dates”) should fix problems with the phone it could sound like they know they have not been giving up-dates, just messing around with what was in phone from the beginning.
In the phone I have, nothing has changed at all since I bought it: a decent mid-range phone with good monitor and terrible camera.

svetloslav Bro, it is all one and the same game! Just that things like a smart phone are introduced to represent a placebo improvement on our lives. They are planned and programed distraction, aiming at keeping people busy (hence unable to think) in a meaningless virtual matrix

1. Why camera fix is not coming while camera is still facing lens flare issue .
2. I have been using this device from Jan so this update 2.5.3 is my first update now am facing lil bit heating while on normally calls and video calls and Gaming..
3.Camera HDR should be fixed .
4.why we are treated like flagship no serious update not calling app no gallery no widget update of recording ??
