While you are right in much of what you wrote there, I believe that the camera is one of the most important things in a phone and often a reason to get a new phone like it is for me. I do not use the phone for gaming or watching movies as the monitor is far too tiny for such things, I use the phone for communicating and taking pictures, so fixing the camera would be good for me, though I already have decided to buy another phone. Next owner would benefit.
As written before I do not think they are interested in fixing the phone as they would than have asked SONY for help or hired someone capable, though that might be expensive.
Have no problem with battery as not using the phone much.
And I do not remember having made excuses for the Nothing company. I do not like the way they do things and doubt they will stay in the market for phones more expensive than the throw away after use ones, meaning really budget.
