Merged 1 post from Regarding CMF Charger .

Sambhrant No I am not using when in charging.

Even today I faced the issue like after using for a day kept my phone when I slept and the charge percentage was 72 but when I look up now that is 6 hours after I saw that charging percentage is 63.I don’t know why it should consume this much charge when in standby.

I have already switched off Ram booster and cleared background process

Abzee that’s odd, doesn’t happen to me. Use accubattery To know which apps are draining your battery.

Abzee with internet on it takes 2-4 % and when net is off it takes 2% for 6-7 hour of sleep. It’s great enough and surely improve EVEN MORE ASAP.

Hi i just bought my nothing phone 2 a through Flipkart and I’ve been using the 45w nothing charger to charge my phone. But i this the 50% in 20 minutes is not possible i just plugged in my phone @1% and it’s already 20 minutes in and the phone is showing 30%. I don’t know if i should try a different charger or cable to test my theory kindly look into this, thank you

There is some issue with the charger optimisation with the 2a. I hope nothing will fix this issue with a new update as I do not feel that this is a hardware issue. There should be an update to optimise the charging speed as I mentioned in my previous posts in this thread that no matter which charger I have tried which includes nothing original 45 watt, cmf for nothing 65 watt, UGreen 45 watt and spigen 70 watt, it takes almost 3 hours to fully charge the phone. Since a lot of people are facing this issue who are using the correct charger and the cable, I hope someone from nothing is reading the posts and will push an update at the earliest.

SushantSinha nothing should better fix that asap before it starts affecting their goodwill of the company. They have built a good reputation and for that to last long they should really step up their game.

People who are facing charging issues and constantly complaining here, get imaginative. Pick your charger, cable and test it on a different Nothing Phone 2 (not 2a), Samsung Galaxy S23U, etc. These phones are also rated for 45W PD PPS fast charging. Rule out any problem with the cables. I used Ampere app to compare charging speeds between NP2 and my 2a.

SushantSinha You might should contact the nothing team directly via Settings, select System, and then choose Feedback. If you are 100% sure that you’re using a compatible charger and cable. Via this way they will also be able to gather logs which makes it easier for the team to look into it.

When I contacted the customer care regarding this issue, they told me to consult to a service centre

Kastello thanks for the reply mate. I have already reported this via X to the nothing support team and the cmf for nothing team and they have informed that they will pass on the information to the concerned team to look into this. I was not aware that there is a feedback option on the phone. I will surely write there as well. I have always heard a lot of good things about nothing phone and bought this phone 2a with very high hopes. I hope nothing listens to our feedback and optimise the chargers. I am primarily an Apple user and I have got this phone 2a as my secondary phone mostly for video calls and office work. The most important thing for me after the clean software which nothing gives which I am really happy with, the second most important thing was the fast charging and I am sturggling with the fast charging issue since day 1. I hope nothing will fix it soon.

SushantSinha Using the in-device feedback option only gets you email replies with first base solutions from the support team suggesting to “reset your phone” or “restart your device”.

Only after I explicitly stated that I submitted the feedback so that it could reach the software team in the UK office, that they acknowledged my request and replied with a “we will forward it to the concerned team, thank you” email. Company is new, still needs some refining.

Guys do u use ur phone while charging?

If u use…it will take around 2 hrs. The same used to happen with me, thus now I don’t use it while charging. And it gave wonderful results.

U should restart it 🔂 once. U can try this for urself n let me know.
