Dominic Hah, at first I was seeing a golf ball there, but you are right - the dots are reminiscent of Nothing’s logo.

That pattern was also visible in the first tease made by Unbox Therapy, as you can see here.

And according to the news Input published, it’s said by Akis, Nothing marketing chief and co-founder, that:

“Our communities will have a chance to purchase ear (1) before anyone else and also before it is fully revealed.”

It’s interesting to see it will be a clamshell-style case, I was imagining more of an AirPods case from the imagery that was shared before today.

We’ve seen that texture quite a lot…do you think it’s part of the product or part of the packaging? I think it might be to help the photography, otherwise, so much of the image would be the white desk under the case!

Oh yeaah, that would be logical. Also on the Unbox Therapy photo that @Cheetosdust linked below, it seems like the texture is in fact only there to help bring out the details of the transparent plastic. Either way, I think it is going to be a great looking case.
I hope the photographers shooting these photos are paid well, it must be super hard to get the lighting correctly and not get any reflections..

peterrafael Those Specs are just educated guesses from their part.

Fast Connect 6700 Module in the Snapdragon 778G+ supports BT 5.2, but GSMARENA mentioned BT 5.3 which is untrue in case the Phone(1) is powered by 778G+.

sean (1) Macro Feature can be implemented in the Ultrawide Angle Lens if the Ultrawide Angle Sensor has Auto Focus. I think the team is smart enough to do that. Lets see on 12th July.

Think the front facing camera will have 12MP at the very least.

Rob ⚡️ 4K 60FPS can be implemented by OEMs (I Suppose using Frame Interpolation) even if the SoC (ISP) doesn’t natively supports it. Just see OG Nord supports 4K 60FPS in the front camera even though SD 765G doesn’t have native support for 4K in the front camera let alone 4K 60 FPS.

That image makes a lot more sense now, I was wondering where the internals of the case were! How are we getting power to the buds? But these are clearly pogo pins for charging…I’m just confused at there being no wires or PCB’s!

Exactly, that is a confusion I have too. I don’t know how are they including the electronics into the case.

I had this fear that the reason for us not seeing any internal parts yet is that there is essentially no electronic parts to be seen, and the case is just purely for storage and protection. But I can’t imagine a TWS without a charging case, I mean the battery capacity in the buds themselves cannot be so big that it would require no additional battery, right? What do you think?

Overall I am clueless about the internals. But we haven’t seen the bottom left part of the case yet, so maybe that’s where all the electronics are. (Although in that case we should be able to see some cables connecting the pogo pins to the battery too.) I guess we will just have to wait and see.

This did cross my mind too… maybe a case made only for storage/protection is possible, but like you, I think that would limit functionality too much to be a plausible solution…. I’m confused but excited. 😆

I was not aware of the Unbox Therapy giveaway, but @manu retweeted a message from the YouTuber that raajeshjoseph mentioned before.

As you can see, he’s also organizing a giveaway for 50 pairs of ear (1). Perhaps we’ll see more during the next few hours, days.

You can clearly feel the launch approaching: yesterday, Nothing was in the news because of the StockX “drop” and today it’ll be all over social media because of the giveaways.

Perhaps tomorrow we’ll have the new episode of the “Final Stretch” series.

Circling back to the StockX “drop” next week, I think we were correct - people are going to bid on a product without knowing much about it.

I was checking the Newsroom and the homepage of the company, and it says “#the100 Blind Drop” - with the keywords there being “blind drop”.

As a side note, according to a poll conducted by Android Authority regarding the Indian price, “readers were surprisingly conflicted over this one. More than 2,300 respondents chimed in, with 55.7% of the population voting in favor of the price. However, 44.3% of readers believe Nothing can shave a few more figures off that number”.

Yeah, I spotted that too, quite an interesting move that I’m sure will pique people’s interest.

How much will someone pay for a product they have yet to see? I hope we get some info on that once they’re sold! Maybe £99.99 would do it 😆

Regarding the Indian price, it’s hard to know the true value until launch, it is all based on speculation at this stage… and I don’t doubt that Nothing has looked at the market and adjusted for a competitive launch price.

The Youtube competition winners aren’t announced until August 5th, post-launch, and StockX bidding appears to close July 21st…I wouldn’t worry, Carl has said they have something in the pipeline to get investors the product soon.

And speaking about the giveaways, the number of entries is astonishing. When I am writing this message, Technical Guruji has 481509 entries and Unbox Therapy is trailing behind with 205230 entries.

These are the numbers achieved just a few hours after the giveaways started and with 19 days left until their end. Good luck, I guess, hehe. 😅

Thanks for sharing! Durability was something I thought might be compromised with such unique design/material choices - it’s great that all the appropriate tests are being done… I wonder if they do scratch testing too 😅

I am curious to know how well they will hold, especially with the transparent materials. Not just against drops, but also how scratched they will appear after a year or so. This is, obviously, assuming customers will take good care of them.

About the video, I took a few screenshots about parts that were blurred and they appeared without it, but I am not sure what to make of them.
