Nothing 2a in my style and colors.
I’ve been thinking a lot about the Nothing Phone 2a and how to make it even more special. I’ve come up with some ideas to give it a fresh and futuristic look. Firstly, I love the camera placement and concept, but I thought that curving one of the glyph lights around the camera circle instead of having it straight next to it could make it look more balanced and clean.
I’ve also revamped the bottom part of the phone with lines and curves to give it a unique touch. The idea behind this design is simple yet meaningful; the curve represents “2” and the bottom right corner symbolizes “A.” Adding the Nothing font “A” enhances the design further. Furthermore, I had this idea of transparent buttons on the sides, illuminated with glyph lighting, which I think would look and feel amazing. But what if we take it a step further? Imagine if the entire body of the phone was transparent, especially the side panels, with glyph lighting or screens embedded in them. This would allow for fun customization, like changing colors or adding cool designs to the panels.
I’m passionate about these ideas and hope to have the chance to discuss them with the Nothing team someday, maybe even meeting @Carl Pei himself. It’s exciting to think about how these concepts could push the boundaries of smartphone design.
The Nothing 2a phone resonates with me because of its circular design and camera placement, which gives it a friendly and expressive look, almost like an emoji or a face. It instantly reminded me of a logo I created for a mental health project, where I used circles to represent eyes and a larger circle for the face. This logo was all about expressing emotions, as facial expressions are universally understood. When someone smiles, you know they’re happy, and when they cry, you know they’re sad. This connection between the phone’s design and my logo makes the Nothing 2a feel like expressing my emotions through a device.
