Facing similar issue. Bought Phone 2a on launch 2 months back. Its sad to see the screen deteriorationg so fast even with lower than average usage and at a 25-30% fixed brightness (have adaptive brightness always off). For me, instead of the navigation bar, the burn occured inside the area with 16:9 crop. Anything outside is mostly fine since the pixels remain off during video playback.
Would recommend people to always watch videos in full screen and zoomed in to avoid running into this issue.
For those with burn in the navigation area, go to Developer Settings and turn on Transparent Navigation Bar.
Til (21) Thanks for the link. But this will burn the screen as a whole. Iāll try to make a version with no pixels in the middle 16:9 crop portion. People with similar problem as mine can probably use that one instead to burn just the top and bottom part of the screen. Will update this post if i end up finding/making something like that.
In the meantime, does anyone know how to set the brightness of AoD to minimum? It seems to be changing with ambient lighting even though I have adaptive brightness turned off.
