I’m not sure why people are still asking for this update. It’s buggy you shouldn’t get it. Be patient and wait for the next one.

If you flashed it manually and you don’t like it, then you messed up.

On the other hand, Nothing needs to acknowledge things are being worked on. The user experience does not end at unboxing the phone starring at how shiny the phone is.

Dear Nothing Team

You are doing a good job and keep it up.But plz focus on your updates take your time and work on bugs and glitches sensibly and before rolling out updates plz check it weathere updates are working or not, plz be focus and don’t give anything in the name of quick updates. we can wait more and wants good updates.

If the update has made the phone worse (I don’t know as still not available on my device and I’m not side loading it) I would suggest giving feedback via your device (Settings > System Settings > Feedback) to let Nothing know as I don’t think reporting it here will make any difference.

Support for 3rd party chargers is only partially fixed. My phone 2a now works with my 25 watt pd power bank but still does not work with my 65 watt ubon pd charger. Please fix it ASAP.

How was the camera quality for all of you before the update?

Because I am really disappointed with the current camera performance (2.5.5).

Bad update… nothing change on the speed of the camera saving the photo…. feels like getting slower when processing.

Quite useless to use to take photo… cos every time taking group photo or friends’ I need to keep waiting to see the preview… and everyone just waiting…. 🙁

Stringfellow_hawke What’s your experience with the update so far? If all the comments here are accurate, it should’ve exploded your phone by now due to lots of new bugs. I haven’t gotten the update yet, so can’t really comment.

Schippie Well so far, still got all my limbs.😅 Can’t say much yet, did the update and let it charge for a couple hours to let it optimise first. But first impressions, performance wise seems fine to me.

Just installed the update, finally arrived for me too. Not seeing any bugs so far. Photos seem fine, YouTube 1080P HDR seems OK, no heating of the phone. I did reboot after updating though, perhaps that helped. However, there were a lot of reports in this chat, so if some of you could please share your test cases I can try to replicate.

neikees yeah, so far I am enjoying phone the more I used and explore and interact by adapting my old phone habits to this new Big, Heavy NP2a … for past 20 days usage.

The no. 1 most irritable ‘slow time waster’ is the camera photos and videos ‘animations / processing blurry to sharp end images’ v v slow for a modern 2024 phone.. i cannot believe it. Takes 2-3s per preview

yea, not all imperfections are equal. I kinda regret buying this phone .. =[ , **gotta rethink, rebudget a 2nd phone – which ofc NP doesn’t care since it has already earned mine. darn! crap! "oO

For its price in 2024, it’s ridiculously value, but … camera snaps processing photos+videos is a CORE expectation of smartphone users, unless it’s a low low 10% bottom priced smartphone, which ofc NP2a is not!

Can you add AOD timer 10 sec (or select more time range) if user want see AOD but not want use long time for saving battery life?

Android auto is still not working pls fix

[deleted] mate its just a software patch, things will be better in future updates.

Not that Nothing gave you a different hardware as to what they advertised.
